Chapter 19: In the mines 1/2

~In the Sol Dimension~

~In the mines, with Infinite and Scourge~

They were still walking in the tunnel trying to find their sworn enemy's base. Scourge had a green flame lit in his hand so that they could see. Infinite had his hand on his Phantom Ruby that was attached to his chest. They were cautious because Eggman Nega could be watching them at the moment. ((I know Blaze said he was supposed to be asleep, but after he searched for where she went and found out about the six other dimensions, he didn't sleep anymore)).

 Infinite was regretting going with Scourge because he was worried that something happened to Blaze, but he remembered that Shadow was with her, and that he doesn't have to worry about her because she is strong and knows how to defend herself. Infinite exhaled in relief, obviously Scourge noticed his action, but he didn't bother asking because he already knew why his friend sighed.

Infinite and Scourge continued to walk until they heard a sound coming from behind them. They turned around and got into their fighting stance. Scourge wanted to turn the flame off so that whoever or whatever that was, doesn't see them, but they wouldn't see either, and they don't have Blaze with them ((night vision)). 

There was a deep silence in the cave. Infinite and Scourge were frowning still not moving from their fighting stance.

 And then, out of nowhere, a laser was shot at them. Both jumped back to dodge the laser. But the silence came back in the tunnel. Infinite only moved his eyes to not make a sudden move. Then another laser was shot at them, they jumped to the sides. "Scourge," whispered Infinite really lowly, "Make the green flame bigger to see better." Scourge nodded at Infinite's statement and use both his hands to grow the green flame. 

Their eyes grew to the figure that flew to them. It was Metal Sonic 3.0. Infinite looked at the robot then at Scourge, and again, and again. The robot shot other lasers at them which they also dodged.

Infinite put his hand on his Phantom Ruby and a red energy came out of it. He then put his signature mask on. He looked at the robot and groaned, "You wonna get raspy? Then let's get raspy." He dashed towards the robot and landed a kick on its head which made it go back a little. Metal Sonic 3.0 didn't like that hit so it went offensive. It dashed towards Infinite and attempted to land a punch on his face but failed because Scourge kicked it in its butt. The metallic thing fell on the ground. 

Its eyes turned pitch black, "I WILL HAVE YOUR HEADS ON A PLATTER.". 

It dashed to the two then stopped and charged up a laser. It shot it at Scourge who fell on the ground in pain. The flame went out but Infinite had his mask on, with his mask he could see in the dark ((Blaze improved it)). Infinite looked at his best friend with wide pupils under his mask, then looked back at Metal Sonic with a frown, "How dare you!" he exclaimed.

"I DARE DO ANYTHING. AND IF IT INVOLVES DESTROYING YOU, I DARE." 

Infinite frowned at the robot and ran towards it with anger filling his heart. Infinite took out his sword as he ran towards the robot. He jumped high with his sword held high with his two hands over his head. "Haa" He screamed as he swung his sword. He managed to hit the robot which hit a wall because of the strength Infinite put in his shot.

The black and white jackal landed. He held his sword in his left hand, and his right hand was put on his Phantom Ruby. Infinite was frowning under his mask as he looked at the robot. 

Metal Sonic 3.0 stood up and stared at Infinite with its pitch-black eyes. It then suddenly disappeared. Infinite looked around him while only moving his eyes. 

The robot, all of a sudden appeared behind Infinite and hit him with a punch on his back. The jackal fell on his knees and looked around him to see nothing else than his hurt friend, 'where is that stupid robot' he thought as he moved his eyes around. Metal Sonic 3.0 was behind Infinite, it walked slowly to him as it charged up a laser. Infinite felt the laser's small light, so he stood up slowly. 

The metallic thing shot his laser. Infinite reacted fast by using his Phantom Ruby to stop the laser. Infinite fully turned to face the robot. Metal Sonic 3.0 was annoyed by the jackal blocking every attack it tries. Its eyes' color went back to red as it walked to the jackal. It clenched its right fist as Infinite looked at it.

Infinite held his sword with his left hand on the side, far from his body. He put his sword back down as he flipped it in his hand. He walked towards the robot. When there were only few meters between them, Infinite held his sword over his head and swung it hard. But the robot dodged it and punched Infinite so hard on his stomach that he fell on the ground.

The robot took the two boys and went back to his master's castle.

Poor Infinite and Scourge...
