Chapter 20: In the mines 2/2

~In the Sol Dimension~

~In the mines, with Shadow and Blaze~

(After Infinite and Scourge were captured and brought to Eggman Nega)

They were walking together in the mines still searching for the base. Blaze was getting annoyed of Shadow still staring at her since they separated the team. "Shadow, can I ask you something?" she spoke.

"Sure."

"Why do you keep staring at me, I'm getting annoyed."

Shadow blushed a little then said, "Yeah, sorry. I'll stop." Blaze smiled at Shadow and continued to walk.

She's so clueless. 

~Shadow POV~

Dammit! she noticed that I was looking at her! 

We continued to walk in that stupid, boring tunnel. I just wonna reach the base, destroy it, and go back home.

It's been about half an hour we're walking and still nothing. I hope Christelle and Eclipse had more luck. Psh! who am I kidding! Christelle is having fun because she's hanging out with an actual dragon!

I sighed really hard, and the princess literally noticed me. So, her golden eyes looked at me. "Are you ok?" she asked me, "Is there something bothering you?"

"No nothing, it's just that I'm bored. We've been walking for about half an hour." I answered.

She chuckled to me. Dammit she's cute! "Well we can't do anything. This is the way we'll be able to reach the base without Eggman Nega noticing us."

"Yeah I know. But it's so boring."

"You want me to talk to Christelle?"

I raised a brow at what she said. What does she mean by talk to Christelle? "What do you mean by that?" I asked her.

She smiled innocently and spoke, "She called few minutes ago, but I didn't answer. You want me to call her?"

I just nodded. She used her wrist communicator to call my sister. From the other line we heard, "WHAT UUUUP FOKESSS"

Blaze just laughed, that's cute. "Hey Christelle. You called earlier, you need anything?" Blaze asked with a soft tone. Her voice is like music! God help me with that beauty!

"YEAH I WANTED TO TELL YA THAT ARKUS IS WITH US." Christelle shouted from the other line.

"That's awesome! great job you two!" She exclaimed with happiness. What else can I say, she's just perfect.

I heard a roar from Christelle's line. It must be the dragon. Blaze contented to just smile. "Anyways, we gotta go Blaze, we have to reach the damn base. See ya there!!!" Christelle said.

I looked at Blaze who said 'ok' as she hung up and put her hand back down. She smiled at me. Damn! why is she so cute!

~Blaze POV~

Why does he keep looking at me? I mean, come on, he didn't stop staring at me since we left Infinite and Scourge. Is he attracted to me or something?

~Narrator POV~

Shadow and Blaze continued to walk in the tunnel. The silence grew in between the two until Shadow spoke, "Hey, um, are you gonna stay here when we win." he said with a blush.

"Yes, I won't go back to the Chaos Dim- wait... you're telling me to stay in your dimension?"

"What? no... no I d-didn't say that."

Blaze smiled, "So you do appreciate my presence."

"Um, uh, hu." he was blushing, so he turned his head away from her. 

Blaze laughed hardly and continued to walk as she said, "just teasing."

~Later~

Everything was back to normal. They were still walking in the tunnel. Blaze still had a flame lighted in her hand for Shadow to see. 

Blaze's ears twitched so she got into her fighting stance as she moved her eyes around. Shadow was confused. "What is it?" he asked.

"I heard something." she whispered. Shadow looked around the tunnel and raised a brow. 

"I didn't here any-" His left ear twitched. Shadow frowned and got into his fighting stance.

Both were now in their fighting stance as they frowned. They didn't move. Blaze only looked around with her eyes and she turned off the flame so that the thing doesn't see them. Their ears twitched again.

A voice was heard, "WELL, HELLO NEW PRISONERS. WHO ARE THE KIDS THAT ARE GOING TO BE CAPTURED THIS TIME."

Blaze looked at Shadow and whispered, "We have to run, this is a robot that is surely Eggman Nega's." Shadow nodded. Blaze took his hand and started to run ((because Shadow can't see)). Shadow didn't turn his air shoes on so that the thing they heard doesn't notice them. 

"WHERE DID THEY GO." 

They continued to run until they saw a little bit of light ((it's night)). Blaze smiled showing her pointy teeth. Blaze stopped and Shadow did so. Blaze checked if the ladder was good or if it could break any time. Shadow could see now. She went up the ladder first and Shadow followed her. 

When they were out, Blaze inhaled hardly. They were on a hill outside of the village behind Eggman Nega's base. Behind the hill, was the Moon. Blaze looked at it "I've missed that Moon." she said. 

Shadow closed his eyes; he then opened them and went to stand next to Blaze. Shadow crossed his arms and started, "Blaze."

She looked up at him, "Yes?"

"I wanted to tell you that-" He was interrupted by Blaze's communicator.

"Oh. Sorry Shadow, give me a minute." She said as she went away to answer the call. Shadow exhaled as he looked at her walking away. He then looked back at the Moon.

Who is calling Blaze???

And when will the others reach Eggman Nega's base???
