We bid farewell to Kabuto and his teammates, and parted ways as we were leaving the tower. Naruto pushed open the door, grumbling, "There's no one here."
"I'm okay, Sakura, you can let go," Sasuke told her, removing his arm from around her shoulder.
I did the same and let go of Naruto's shoulder. "Thanks for getting me this far, Naruto," I thanked him, to which he smiled warmly.
"Anytime!" Naruto said, quite excited, his eyes searching the room in confusion. "So, what's our next move?"
"Hey!" Sakura said suddenly, pointing at the wall above us. "Look at that!"

"If. Heaven. you wish." Naruto muttered, jumping over areas. "Yeah, I don't understand! And what's with that blank space?!"
"It's probably referring to the scroll," I told Naruto.
"Right," Sakura said. "I think it's telling us to open both the Heaven and Earth scrolls, but-"
"What are we waiting for then?!" Naruto exclaimed eagerly.
Sasuke and I flanked Sakura and Naruto as the air thickened in expectation of us opening them. Sakura and Naruto unfurled the scrolls with nervous excitement. But nothing happened.
"Huh? What's this all about?" Naruto huffed, bending over to study the markings on the scrolls. "'Human'?. 'Mankind'?", he muttered, perplexed by the totally unexpected contents.
My eyes widened as smoke burst out of the scrolls. This was a summoning scroll.
"Naruto! Sakura! Drop the scrolls now!" Sasuke and I shouted in unison, which they both did in an instant.
The smoke vanished to reveal a figure. We all stared slack-jawed at who it was.
"Hey, kids!" Iruka greeted with crossed arms. "Long time no see, eh?"
"I don't get it," Sakura muttered, still confused about everything.
"You four have the look of people who've been put through a wringer," Iruka said with a smirk.
"Huh?! What?!" Naruto exclaimed, still confused. "Iruka Sensei, why are you popping up out of a summoning spell?!"
Iruka began explaining, "At the end of this second examination, we Chunin are in charge of the opening ceremony for the test participants. And just to make things interesting, I have a very important role as the messenger for you all."
