Twist. Hum. Twist. Silence.

You listened to the buzz of the gadget on your wrist as it whirred to life, a hologram shortly appearing, only for it to disappear just as quick. It was something similar to the watch Tony had given to you after your "successful internship trip" to Germany.

Your heart grows heavy with the reminisce of a time before all of this. A once upon a time when you weren't stuck in a different dimension, where your body and mind was yours.

Twist. Hum. Twist. Silence.
Twist. Hum. Twist. Silence.

"Y/n," Twist. Hum. "We need to talk about what's happening to you." Twist. Silence. Your mindless fiddling stops, your eyes closing shut as your mind painfully pulsed at today's previous events.

"Y/n. You need to breathe."

"I can't." You swallow the large lump in your throat, feeling your hands start to shake and grow numb. "I can't! I don't know what's happening to me." You shouted, allowing yourself to fall to the ground as you wept. "I don't understand what's happening."

You push the memory away along with the pounding headache, taking a deep breath before breaking your long, unnerving silence. "What? You mean about my atoms literally tearing themselves apart?"

"Precisely."

You huffed in slight amusement at her lack of empathy, finding it hard to be offended when she wasn't exactly capable of showing you such a thing. Deep down, you know she cared for you, she shows you in her own, prying ways. But could you blame yourself for not being willing to open a conversation about your potential demise?

A frown tugs on your lips as the events replayed before your eyes once more, forcing you to retreat back into the comforting arms of silence. Unwillingly, you relive the events leading up to now as it were your first time.

Twist. Hum. Twist. Silence.
Twist. Hum. Twist. Silence.
Twist. Hum. Twist. Silence

"You did what?!"

Marinette groans in shame, hiding behind her hands as she mumbles into them, "I agreed to help Adrien on his possibly-or-not date at the ice rink with Kagami Tsurugi."
