A long time ago,
There lived a girl,
Who dreamt of a 'happily ever after'
Her mind immersed in the pages of a fairy-tale.
"Her yearning heart finds solace
In the embrace,
Of a steadfast companion."
It was a very abstract and intangible thing,
But oh God, how she craved it,
In the sanctum of her thoughts,
A scroll adorned the walls,
Depicting her destiny's unfolding
She would find him,
The one, that made all the princesses blush
and her handmaidens swoon
The story that would be re-told for ages to come
In adoring tones, "Oh, weren't they the best!"
And so she embarked,
On the quest of unwavering love
She traversed the lands,
where the trees await the sun's kiss
But the compass of her heart signaled her true north
It was where the sand becomes one with the sea
She reached the coast,
but her heart didn't skip a beat
The same monotonous tempo
reminded her of the ticking of time
Was he truly that elusive?
Wasn't there a tale curated for her?
Was he just a creation of her craving?
Was love not meant for her?
Was her lonesome saga truly a never-ending story,
With a multitude of volumes filling the library of her fate?
Was the only answer,
to her soul's lament,
a love-catcher?
A shield against the bitterness of a twisted love,
And opening a portal for the arrival of her true love?
