Alastor made his way back to the hotel after dinner with y/ns brother.

He felt that as if he was diving in too deep over his head. The idea of getting more influence in hell was appealing but as the days go by, he felt more and more fond of y/n besides the basics of a relationship. He never really thought of romance, just kinda did what he felt was part of a courtship. He finds that she runs across his mind, he seems to like her just as much as he likes Rosie but in a different sense. Rosie he felt was a mother figure to him but with y/n, he felt the want and need to protect her. To him, she was like a nice bowl of jambalaya. Cooked from scratch. Not something you just heat up from a box.

Were these, genuine feelings?

He shrugged off the idea and walked into the hotel. He did the simple greetings before dipping off to his room. Y/n left him a note stating she was heading back to wrath to get some stuff wrapped up before her mission. She also wrote that someone would be coming into the hotel to help him learn some of his new abilities as he has reached an official status similar to a goetia by being engaged to a princess.

"These vessels have apparently became a little more unusual" Charles was looking over some files "they are fighting now."

Y/n looked up from the paperwork, she sighed "which means they are most likely being manipulated. But by what? No one can enter our side besides other demons. Even angels don't have access to that side of limbo. Can you get into contact with archangel Michael to see if they are experiencing the same thing?"

"I already did. He said no. Their side is still the same. They just wander around. He is also not happy with hell at the moment due to Charlie and her shenanigans with that hotel" Charles frowned "so he might not be truthful"

"I understand that but that side of hell is not our business. Michael knows that so him being untruthful after our peace treaty is unlike him. Maybe he is telling the truth which means this is some inside job" y/n closed her eyes "not many people can access limbo. Just only officers in the army, our family, Lucifer, Charlie, and Lilith but Lilith has been missing for a while. I doubt Charlie or Lucifer would have any interest in that side. Lucifer had us created to handle all that jazz and Charlie is too focused on her hotel."

"Could it be your dad?" Charles said in a slight whisper.

Y/n opened her eyes. She thought for a moment and frowned

"I don't think so. My father has been handling other things. My dad might be a piece of shit but he also writes everything he does down. Last couple of months, he's been to other rings to handle some meetings with the other kings and queens." She pointed out. "I can talk with him about it but he rarely wants to talk to me"

Charles nodded

"Alert the lieutenants of the situation at hand. Tell them we will be in code red training until a week before the mission. Let them know this is a serious matter. Most of our trips to limbo were always entertaining but now we need to be serious." Y/n sighed "let them know they need to have a will written up if they so choose. I'm expecting that we might lose some"

Y/n pulled up a little smoky screen. It showed limbo.

Limbo was nothing but black and white. Like it's citizens, the same. She was used to seeing those vessels just wander around but something was different. They were fighting. Training. It seemed they had some leader standing on top of a building, talking out loud. She couldn't make out what the leader was saying but it seemed to rile up the citizens.

She snapped and the screen disappeared

"You and I should start training a little more as well. Instead of once a month, we should start going every other day." Y/n stood from her chair and began to pace around. She was in deep thought.

"I completely agree. Rosie and I made the decision to post pone our wedding until after the mission. We wanted to do before but if this goes south, I don't want to risk Rosie having to handle all that paperwork" Charles sighed

"Charles" y/n walked up to him and sat next to him. She grabbed his hand and smiled "nothing will ever happen to you. When we made our deal, I told you I would protect you with my life as long as I could ensure the same out of you"

"You always can count on Me" Charles reassured her. "Plus we gotta be around for each others weddings"

Y/ns ring lit up again "yes. Right"

Y/n dismissed the meeting with Charles. He was going to alert the other lieutenants then head back over to Rosie for the night.

Y/n sat in her chair again alone. She didn't really know what to do. She never had to deal with this kind of threat.

She pulled out a couple of maps of limbo. She began drawing out plans on how she wants her divisions spread out. Setting traps and maybe a few diversions. She needed to make sure her people knew what they were training for.

In moments like this, she wished she had her mother around to help out. Her mom secretly took care of her and her brother despite their fathers wishes. The one that secretly fed them, made sure they were cleaned up. Just like them, their mom had to put on a mask.

She pulled out a piece of paper and began to write down her will. A just in case situation.

After writing it down, she took out a special pen. One that seals her deal. She signed her will and placed it in her file.

Y/n walked off to her room and prepared for bed.
