We got to our apartment. "Luxury Apartments. I wish I could say it's true." I told him.
"No kidding, buddy." Bigby said as he pushed the gate open. We heard a rustle in the bushes to our right. "Come out." Bigby said as he stepped in front of me. Another Fable came out. Her name was Beauty. She was in all red. "Beauty. I was worried it was someone else." I said to her.
"Yeah. Sorry to startle you, Sheriff. And Y/n." She said.
"Where you off to this late at night?" Bigby asked.
"Just a walk..." She said. She looked at her watch. "Shit, I'm late. But can you please not tell Beast?" Beauty asked. "He's been paranoid enough."
"I won't tell him." Bigby said.
"Yeah. Your secret's safe with us, even though we don't even know it." I added.
"Thank you." Beauty walked out the gate and left.

We went inside and went to the elevator. Before the door closed, Beast passed us. "Bigby! Hey!" Beast called to us as he stopped the elevator door. "Have you seen my wife? Have you seen Beauty?" He asked.
"I saw her." I said. "But it was a few days ago, not tonight." I added.
"Damn it. Sorry for stopping y'all. Somethings just going on." Beast said. We nodded and the door closed this time. We went up to our floor and to our room. Bigby pulled the phone off the telephone so it wouldn't ring and I cracked a window. "Thanks for not letting me get in that fight." I told Bigby.
"You might have to get in one soon." He sighed. "I'm sorry Y/n, but that woman with Woody was suspicious."
"The prostitute? I don't mean to stereotype her, but who's she gonna tell?" I asked.
"Look. Me and Snow are the only people that know you're not a Fable. You're a mundane world human. And like it or not, we gotta keep it a secret." Bigby told me. We heard snoring. "Someone else is here?" I asked. We walked around the corner and saw a pig sleeping on Bigby's couch. It was Colin. Bigby tapped him. He woke up. "Oh, hey Bigby." He said. "I'm in your chair again, huh?" He asked.
"Yeah. Get up." Bigby said. Colin got out of the couch and sat next to the TV. Bigby put a cigarette in his mouth. "Got a smoke?" He asked. Bigby gave him one. "Thousand more of these and we'll be even on that house you owe me." He told us. Bigby got up and went to pour a drink.
"Colin, you can't keep sneaking off The Farm." I told him as Bigby took a drink. "I'll tell you what Bigby told Toad. If you can't afford a glamour, you gotta go to The Farm." I told him. Colin ignored me and kept trying to guilt trip Bigby into giving him the drink he poured since Bigby blew the pigs' houses down and ate two of them. Bigby took a drink. "Okay, never mind. This is why everyone hates you." He said.
"Woah, not everyone hates him." I told Colin.
"Colin, i wasn't murdering your friends. I was hungry." Bigby told him.
"Well I'm hungry. You don't see me tearing the flesh off your bones." Colin retorted.
"But you would if you could." Bigby told him. Colin shook his head. "Probably." He said. Bigby went to take a seat. "Well, they don't hate you. More fear you. You ate a lot of people back in your day." Colin mentioned.
"We all came here to have a fresh start. I can't change the past, Colin." Bigby reminded.
"You can't change people's memories either." Colin said. "I'm not saying it's fair, but it's real. People are scared of you. I mean, look at your hands." Colin told us.
"Oh...right. On our way here, we got in a fight with The Woodsman." I told Colin.
"Your hands aren't as red as his." Colin said.
"I mostly tried to reason with him." I told him. Bigby went to his couch and sat down. Colin laid next to the TV again and I sat in the other chair. "You think our job is easy? You try keeping a bunch of Fables from killing each other." Bigby told Colin.
"He's not wrong, Colin. This shit isn't easy. How d'you think this works?" I asked.
"I dunno. How?" He asked. I opened my mouth to say how it works, but Bigby cut me off. "By being big and being bad." He said. I looked at him and cringed a little. "What? Dude, thats a little embarrassing." I told him. Bigby took another drink of the bourbon.
"I bet Bigby was an asshole to everyone you two came across today." Colin said.
"Not everyone." Me and Bigby said.
"He wasn't an ass to Toad, for starters." I told Colin.
"Life's easier with friends, Bigby." Colin told us.
"I have friends. One's sitting in that red chair." Bigby said, pointing at me.
"You treat him more like a coworker." Colin said.
"He..." I started. I was gonna say he doesn't, but when i think hard about it, he kinda does. I understand why. To hide that I'm not a Fable.
"You also seem to try hard to keep Y/n out of trouble. And I've seen the way you look at Snow. You can't fool me." Colin said.
"Will you shut up?" Bigby asked.
"Maybe if my throat wasn't so parched, maybe i wouldn't have to keep talking." Colin said, which made zero sense. I immediately pointed it out. "Colin, that doesn't make any sense-"
"Just give me a drink, please!" He begged.
"Colin, i haven't slept in two days. I went out a second story window and I want to get two seconds of shuteye before i..." Bigby stopped because we saw Colin was sad. "Look, if i give you this, can i sleep?" Bigby asked.
"Yeah, alright. Probably." Colin said. Bigby passed me the drink. I took a sip and then gave it to Colin. "Thanks, guys." Colin went to drinking it. Bigby closed his eyes. I sat in my chair and exhaled.
