Me, Zoe and Emma had come to the mall straight after school. When they want to do stuff, we always do, but when I want to do stuff, it's a completely different story. I took the opportunity though, because we barely ever did anything toghether. I'd rather be with them than alone. They weren't good friends, but they were friends.
I didn't like the mall. It made me sad, since I couldn't afford anything.
The three of us were standing in a too-brightly lit alley in DEB. I was sweating my ass off while Zoe and Emma took their time picking out clothes. I just wanted to go home already. But we were still going to Zoe's house after.
"Do you think this will grab James Parker's attention?" Emma asked as she held a black cropped tank top up to her. James was one of the popular guys at our school, Emma liked him. I don't think he even knew her name. They'd never spoke before, she'd just seen him once and 'fell in love' and wouldn't shut the fuck up about him.
The things they talked about since we got into high school were just so fucking stupid, pointless and annoying.
"Oh my Gosh, yes!" Zoe squealed, before I could answer.
"Georgia, you not buying anything?" Emma asked.
"Probably not, cause none of the clothes here would fit her." Zoe giggled. I shot her an annoyed look. Not this fucking bullshit again. They would always go on about this for hours. I am in fact, a perfectly healthy weight for my age but they just think it's funny.
"It's not our fault you're horizontally challenged." Emma guffawed. In that moment I wished looks could kill. "Oh come on Georgia! You know it's just a joke! You're not fat..."
"But we still hate you, cause you're fucking annoying." It was always something. I hadn't said anything for the past 15 minutes, yet they still somehow managed to insult me. I used to not mind the bit, but now it was just really fucking annoying. I asked them to stop multiple times and every time they said it's a joke. (Well it's not really funny anymore, so I don't know how it's meant to be a joke.) But as soon as I say anything but downright admiration to them they will go in moods and not talk to me for like a day.
After Emma and Zoe bought the things they wanted, we went to Wet Seal, Forever 21, Hot Topic, where they continued to insult me at every chance they got, and H&M, which was the only one I even remotely wanted to go to. I noticed a few nice dresses, tops and jeans, but they were all way too expensive. Next we went to get bubble tea, which was hella expensive, but totally worth it to be honest. It was the only thing I bought all afternoon, and it just made my so far shit day that little bit better.
Finally we decided we had been to all the places we wanted to go to, and we headed for the bus stop. The bus arrived, and it was anything but empty, with a whopping two seats left, and guess who didn't get a seat?
