Despite all the efforts to distract myself from the central issue, whether it was the movie, the encounter with Lora, or the unexpected presence of Christian, the confusion still lingered like a stubborn fog, refusing to dissipate.

Who is doing this?

Why?

I lay awake that night, consumed by thoughts swirling around in my mind. Eventually, I reached for my new laptop and searched for

"How to deal with stalkers."

After a few minutes of scrolling through articles and forums, I discovered that the police were often ineffective, especially in my area. The realization left me feeling frustrated and helpless, prompting the unsettling notion that I might need to acquire a gun for protection.

With no school to attend the next day, I resolved to dedicate my time to finding a solution. Glancing at the clock, I noted it was 3 a.m.—early enough to start.

Switching on my bedside lamp, I grabbed an empty notebook and began meticulously jotting down every name I knew, determined to narrow down the list and confront the unsettling situation head-on.

Lora - Friend

Jess - Freind

Mel - Freind

Damon - Acquaintance

Christian - Freind/Tutor

math teacher - Teacher

English teacher - Teacher

crush in high school - ???

I reasoned that Lora couldn't be responsible simply due to the timeline of events. Jess was also ruled out, and Mel seemed too preoccupied with Damon, who in turn was too fixated on Mel.

But what about Christian?

He had been present at the scene of the murder. Moreover, the haunted house was shrouded in darkness, providing ample opportunity for him to slip away unnoticed and return without raising suspicion.

He had a knack for conveniently appearing just when needed, regardless of the circumstances.

Yet, there was still one perplexing detail: how did I receive text messages even when he was seated right beside me?

My math teacher?

nope that guy doesn't even glance at me

I reopened my laptop and delved deeper into my research.

"Bluetooth hacking," I muttered, scanning through the search results.

Perhaps I could take it to a shop and have the Bluetooth feature removed?

While I had experienced my phone being hacked before—it was old and not used as frequently as it once was—what about my laptop? It sat here constantly, day and night. Could it have been tampered with and hacked as well?

I waited until 8 o'clock and then left the dorm, making my way into the local town to seek out IT support.

Entering the shop, I took my place in line, nervously anticipating my turn.

"Hi, ma'am, how can I help you today?" the representative greeted me.

"Um, hi," I began in a hushed tone, feeling a twinge of embarrassment. "I think my phone has been hacked."

"Alright then, can I see your phone?" they asked, their expression growing serious as I handed it over.

They plugged it into their computer, and as they began to analyze it, I noticed their eyes furrow in concentration before a hint of amusement crossed their face.

"Yeah, someone completely copied your phone," they revealed, their tone a mix of astonishment and disbelief.

"What does that mean?" I questioned, feeling a knot of anxiety tighten in my stomach.

"It means they have complete control over it. Whoever did this is highly skilled and sophisticated. I've heard about this type of hacking, but it's rare to see it in action," they explained, their voice tinged with concern.

"Is there any way for you to help me?" I implored, desperate for a solution.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but unfortunately, there's not much we can do," they replied, shaking their head regretfully.
