The day of the party arrived, and a sense of apprehension lingered in the air like an ominous cloud. Despite my inner misgivings, Lora, Jess, and Mel were adamant that I join them, their enthusiasm outweighing my reservations.

Reluctantly, I acquiesced, feeling a knot of unease tighten in my stomach.

I carefully selected a simple black dress from my wardrobe, its sleek silhouette offering a sense of comfort amidst the impending discomfort.

Adorning myself with a small mask in my favorite color, I ensured every detail was in place before setting out, my (H/S) glinting in the dim light as I made my way to meet my friends.

We arrived at the imposing mansion where the party was to be held, its grandeur juxtaposed against the lingering sense of foreboding. With hesitant steps, I crossed the threshold, the familiar buzz of my phone serving as an unwelcome reminder of the unease that gnawed at my core.

"You look good enough to eat"

I rolled my eyes, dismissing the encounter, and continued my night, opting not to indulge in any drinks.

"You want something to drink?" a voice interrupted from behind me. I turned around to find a guy I didn't recognize.

"Who are you?" I inquired, eying him suspiciously.

"Just someone who lives around," he replied, a mischievous glint in his eyes as he chuckled.

"You look like you're about to trip over yourself," I remarked, unable to hide my skepticism.

"Maybe," he shrugged, before wandering off to ask another girl the same question.

Loser

I decided to join Mel and Lora and settled with them in a secluded corner.

"What's up?" I greeted.

"Please tell me Devon is gone," Mel pleaded.

"What?" I asked, perplexed.

"That guy has been weirdly popping up every now and again, and it's driving me insane," she explained, frustration evident in her voice.

I scanned the area but didn't spot him. "Nope, all clear. Where's Jess?"

"Oh, she took off. Something about forgetting to turn something in. Kinda weird," Mel replied.

"In other news, this party is weird but fun," Lora interjected, attempting to lighten the mood.

"Yeah, to be honest, I forgot anyone even came after that thing happened at the carnival," I admitted, my thoughts drifting.

"Oh my god, I can't believe I almost forgot about it," Mel exclaimed.

"Right? Now that you brought it up, it feels weird," Lora agreed.

We remained in our little circle, unwinding. While they both indulged in drinks, I chose to stay sober, periodically glancing around the room.

"I have to go to the bathroom," I announced, excusing myself from the conversation and heading straight there.

As I made my way out, my phone buzzed with a text message.

"It's so sweet you decided to stay with your friends," the message read.

"Why wouldn't I?" I replied, puzzled by the unexpected message.

"Nothing, it's just sweet," came the reply.

That was weird. I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that settled in the pit of my stomach.

After a few hours into the party, Mel left to talk to Damon and Lora was distracted talking to some guy.

"Aw, all alone"

I rolled my eyes in frustration at the strange text, but then a sense of unease settled over me as I noticed something peculiar happening upstairs. Despite the bustling atmosphere of the party, it seemed like nobody else had noticed or cared about the mysterious activity.

After a moment of hesitation, I couldn't resist the urge to investigate. Sneaking up the side of the stairs, I strained my ears, attempting to decipher the faint sounds. The closer I got, the more distinct the noises became, resembling the shifting of furniture.

"I told everyone here not to even glance at her, and you decided to open your mouth?" a voice seethed angrily, its words barely audible over the din of the party. Despite the muffled quality of the voice, its intensity sent shivers down my spine.

Is someone getting beat?

"Why?" another voice, its tremors betraying a mix of confusion and fear, yelled out, the sound echoing through the hallway. Another loud slam reverberated, sending a shiver down my spine.

"Next time, learn to listen. Everything I do, I do for her, my beloved Y/N. And here you are, trying to ruin that," the voice declared with chilling determination, each word dripping with an unsettling intensity that made my heart race with apprehension.

Wait a minute

I know that voice

I immediately ran out of that house, i sent a text to both of them that i was sick and kept walking
