Chris dropped me off at my dorm room, and I met up with Jess and Lora. Entering Jess's room, I couldn't help but wonder, "Where's Mel?"

"Beats me, but she did warn us not to watch the movie without her. Anyway, check this out," Jess exclaimed, producing a bottle of Jack Daniel's. "Guess what I snagged."

My phone buzzed immediately, and I glanced at it, feeling a sense of apprehension. "This sounds like a bad idea," I mumbled to myself before silencing my phone.

"Who's that?" Lora inquired, her curiosity piqued.

"Just Christian," I replied nonchalantly, but Jess couldn't resist rolling her eyes.

"If you flaunt your relationship one more time, I swear," Jess threatened, her tone half-joking. "Now, back to business. Let's drink and watch some horror movies."

I chuckled as she distributed cups, and we all settled onto her bed, the anticipation mounting as she turned on her TV.

"Which show?" Jess asked, skipping through the options with eager anticipation.

"Ooh, how about 'You'? You know, the show where that guy is obsessed. I've seen so many spoilers of the show but never actually watched it," Lora suggested, her eyes lighting up with excitement as she opened the bottle and poured it into her cup.

Hell no

Absolutely not

"Nah, kinda boring," Jess remarked, grabbing the bottle and pouring herself a drink. "No chasers?" she asked, looking around.

"I'll just mix mine," I replied, taking the bottle and pouring myself a drink before placing it on her nightstand. "How about 'Strangers from Hell'?"

"Is that a K-drama?" Lora inquired, her interest piqued.

"I think so," I confirmed, grabbing the soda and adding it to my cup before passing it down the line.

Jess scrolled through the options and found the show, pressing play. As the opening scene unfolded, I found myself completely drawn into the storyline.

By the time we reached the sixth episode, I was so engrossed in the show that I didn't even realize how quickly I had finished my second drink and was already onto the third.

At the final episode i realized my mistake,

"Wow, that was..." Lora began to say but trailed off, her voice filled with emotion. Jess had her arm wrapped around her, holding her close in a comforting embrace.

Yeah

I'm gonna leave

I stood up

"No, no, no, you don't... you don't have to leave," Lora pleaded, patting the bed beside her with a soft smile.

"Nah, my room's right around the corner, no problem," I replied, feeling a slight stumble in my words as I reached for my phone.

I could have sworn I heard a satisfied sigh from Jess as I made my way to the door.

Closing the door behind me, I unlocked my phone, expecting to find messages waiting for me. Surprisingly, there were none.

That's weird

I shrugged and stumbled to my room and opened it, smiling to myself as i shut my door behind me and flopped onto my bed

Why the hell is my bed so hard

I attempted to move away, but it wrapped its arms around me tightly.

"I thought you were going to stay with your little friends," Chris remarked, his voice tinged with amusement.

"Nah, they seemed to have a thing going on at the end, so I left," I explained.

"So sweet of you... you know you're gonna feel like crap in the morning, right?" Chris teased, his concern evident.

"Oh, absolutely. I realized that mistake when I noticed Lora was making the drinks instead of everyone making their own," I admitted with a chuckle.

Leaning into him for support, I suddenly noticed his bare torso. "Why don't you have a shirt on?" I inquired, raising an eyebrow in playful curiosity.

"I got rained on"

"Rain? Ok then"

You know if I wasn't so drunk, I would have smelled a hint of metallic lingering on him, the realization dawning on me amidst the haze of alcohol.
