Jake tapped against his glass of white wine as he waited for Heeseung at a random bar he had never been to.

Heeseung was late, but it didn't bother Jake at all as he liked the vibe of the bar. It was his style, and he could see himself going there a lot more often.

He felt a tap on his shoulder, and saw Heeseung as he started sitting down next to him.

"Sorry, I'm late."

"It's okay." Jake said understandingly. His eyes stayed on Heeseung for a little longer than a second without him noticing.

He looked down at his glass in thought.

This guy cheated on Sonny with some other girl, not just once, but twice. He wondered if he felt guilty at all, if they broke up after Sonny forgave him that night, or if they ever talked again after that.

He had so many questions, and the only person that could truly answer them was Heeseung, and the random vision moments of Sonny's life if they continued to happen.

Jake thought deeply about how to somehow get close enough to Heeseung to talk about his dead girlfriend, but luckily right at the right time, on one of the TV screens on top of the bar, the news was showing a big bright picture of Sonny.

"The killer of 21-year-old Sonny Lane is still yet to be found. Authorities say there is no threat of the killer continuing to kill as there is no pattern and there have been no similar murders after such. The family of Ms. Lane is still to be identified, and supporters of the case question who could have killed such a young woman, without mercy. Once again, if you have any information on the case make sure to call authorities at 300..."

Jake's eyes went to Heeseung to see if he had been looking at the screen at all, but his eyes were on the menu.

He was blinking rapidly, making Jake notice that there were tears in his eyes he was trying to contain.

Jake sighed and looked at the TV with overexaggerated concern.

"I wonder who could have done such a crime. There's news about her all over the place. I heard she lived in the apartment I live in now. It's such a shame that she could have been my age. She stayed 21." Jake spoke, looking over at Heeseung, who only looked at him for a second, before nodding his head.

Jake stared at him as he didn't react to him saying he lived in the same apartment that Sonny did. "I think it's kind of creepy, you know? She was murdered there, and I live there now-"

"Jake I really don't want to talk about that." Heeseung suddenly said, shaking his head as he continued to look down at the menu.

I hit a nerve...

Jake thought, and he waited for the right timing to ask his next question.

"Do you mind... if I ask why not?"

"She was my girlfriend."

Jackpot...

"Really?  Dude, I'm so sorry for your loss, that's terrible." Jake said as he shook his head, looking down at his drink.

Heeseung lightly bit his lip, before trying to catch the bartender's attention. "I'll just have a highball, please."

The bartender nodded his head and went to make Heeseung his drink.

"Yeah... Our relationship was... close." Heeseung said softly as he tapped his finger on the counter, still not looking at Jake.

"Really? There had to be some downs there too, right? Just like any relationship." Jake tried to dig with a small joke, but Heeseung obviously didn't find it funny.
