Jake and Heeseung quietly had breakfast, sitting at the kitchen island.
Heeseung suddenly cleared his throat making Jake look at him in question.
"Do you mind if I ask you something?"
"About what?"
"How often do you see her?" He questioned curiously and Jake looked at him for another few seconds before looking down at his food.
"If I told you how often you wouldn't sleep at night."
"She's not scary at all though, so I think I'll be fine."
"She's sitting right behind you, at the windowsill." Jake informed as he continued to eat, and Heeseung immediately turned around to look at the empty spot.
"Are you lying to me?"
"Mhm."
Heeseung glared at him, making Jake smile a little in amusement.
"I see her all of the time. At least 80% of the day these days. She's everywhere." He said gently.
"So is she not here right now?"
Jake looked around the apartment, before his eyes spotted Sonny on the bed, her head against the pillow in deep sleep.
Heeseung followed Jake's eyes towards the bed, wondering if she was truly there. He knew that what Jake had were hallucinations, but it was still interesting.
"She's there. On the bed." Jake whispered a little as he turned his head back to his cereal.
"What does she talk to you about?"
"Anything... Nowadays more about memories and our experiences together. Sometimes I relive them when she starts talking about them." Jake explained quietly as he moved his spoon around.
Heeseung nodded his head in understanding as he took a sip of his tea, before clearing his throat.
"Aren't you scared?"
"Of what?" Jake asked softly.
"Not seeing her anymore...after your medication starts working."
Jake looked over at Sonny, watching her as she shifted in her spot, and he noticed that black fancy dress from that night at the bar.
He furrowed his eyebrows when he started noticing a pattern.
"What? What's wrong?" Heeseung asked as Jake stood up quickly, immediately walking towards the kitchen drawers, searching for his notepad and a pen.
"Nothing. I just thought of something. You should go, you'll be late."
Heeseung looked at him in worry for another few seconds, before looking down at his watch, noticing he would truly be late.
Jake waited for Heeseung to leave, before opening his notepad.
The landlord...
As Jake wrote this down, he heard a noise coming from the bed, and he saw Sonny plopping down onto it.
"Ugh, it's so cold." She complained in her pretty black dress as she shook her head.
Jake smiled in amusement before looking at the paper in his hand.
"This place seems like they have good chinese food." He said softly, before reaching for his phone, but Sonny let out a groan.
"No, Jake. It's too late to order out. Let's not." She suddenly suggested, sitting up on the bed and walking towards him in the kitchen area.
