Jake sat near the window, as he drank his morning tea, his head back against the wall.
His eyes traveled the city, wondering why it hadn't rained since that night that he met Sonny's ghost.
He was thinking deeply about everything from the day before.
He now has a psychiatrist, that tells him there's huge parts of his life that he doesn't remember. Moments that are supposedly important to him, and a person that was supposedly the most important to him.
How do you forget someone entirely? And every memory with them? It made no sense to him.
He had spent the entire night researching what repression is, how it works and how certain things trigger it. It was usually a traumatic experience that made you store painful memories in parts of the brain that are hard to access.
He didn't even know this thing existed or what traumatic experience caused his.
He concluded that it was just Sonny's death, but other people also lost her. Heeseung loved her and he lost her.
But he didn't end up like me... There has to be more.
He closed his eyes as he took in a breath.
He suddenly heard the door open, and he opened his eyes wide in fear, but he saw Sonny and himself.
The morning light had disappeared, and it was nighttime. He looked at the clock on the bedside table, noticing the time.
2:37 in the morning...
"You have a nice place." The then Jake said as he nodded his head in approval, but Sonny only giggled.
"You can't even see anything." She said as she took off her shoes and orderly placed them one next to the other. Jake saw her and followed her movements, taking off his shoes and placing them side by side.
Present-day Jake stared at the way he placed the shoes, remembering how he did it on the night after he met Sonny's ghost.
It must have been subconscious.
"You're right." He chuckled as he shook his head.
He lightly stood on the balls of his feet, his hands in his pockets as he turned to look at her, and suddenly present-day Jake, was then Jake again.
Sonny was leaning against the wall after throwing her jacket on the ground.
They were both clearly not in their right minds, and Jake could feel the scent of alcohol, and his being slightly unstable on his feet.
He knew that he wouldn't be in control again and mentally noted that this was the first time he had been in the studio.
He felt himself slowly walk towards her and place his lips on hers.
She kissed him back deeply as she started removing his jacket, letting it drop on the floor.
Present-day Jake had no idea what was going on, but he felt like kissing her was the one thing he had always wanted to do again.
He helped her remove her shirt, before connecting his lips to hers again, making her smile a bit into the desperate kiss.
His hands were running up her thighs under her short skirt and met the lace of her underwear, about to gently pull it down, but her hands stopped him playfully.
She grabbed his hands in hers and pulled away from the kiss, leading him through the moonlit room to the bed.
Present-day Jake thought there must be a reason why this memory in particular was coming back, it had to have some type of meaning besides them having sex.
