Jake stared at the interrogation table, as he thought deeply about everything that had happened the night before.

The police collected an official statement from Jake of what happened that night and the night of Sonny's murder.

The bartender was now in jail and there had been a warrant issued to search his home after finding a motive for trespassing into the apartment and confirming the validity of Jake's statement as evidence.

Jake's doctor was sitting next to Jake and Heeseung was joyfully playing a game on his phone as he sat down on the couch to the far left, almost like a parent waiting for their child to be done with the student-teacher meeting, and he had been that way for a long time.

Satisfied.

Jake wished he could be like him.

A knock at the door made them all look over.

Their eyes met the investigator assigned to Sonny's case and another officer accompanying him. Jake watched them sit across from him, his gaze not faltering.

"Hello Mr. Sim."

"Hello." He replied quietly.

"I'm here to share some new information about the case with you." The police officer said as he gave them all a small smile.

The officer started taking things in Zip-lock bags out of a bigger plastic container, placing them all on the table.

Jake looked at his hands to not see any of the objects on the table.

"Since we can't find any relative when it comes to Sonny Lane, I believe you know why, you are the closest person we would need to give these details to."

Jake nodded his head at his words and stayed looking down at his hands.

He knew that Sonny was adopted by a single man when she was just a few months old.

Sonny's father never got along with his family, since they were abusive, and he opted on living as far away as he could as soon as he graduated high school.

Her father had always wanted a child, but he knew he couldn't bear children, so as he got older, he decided to adopt a child.

All that Jake knew was that he died a few years ago, but he was a great father.

Sonny only had her father and one childhood friend who lived miles away. Once her father died, she was always alone.

Jake was truly all she had, and Jake considered Sonny all he had too.

Jake thought deeply as he stared at the table for a few seconds before looking up when he senses movement from the officer.

"These are a few objects we collected as evidence from Mr. Mora's apartment. We suspect these belong to Ms. Lane and we want to talk to you to confirm and maybe return a few of them to you." The officer informed as he looked at Jake, who stared at the objects on the table.

He felt tears in his eyes as he spotted things that indeed belonged to Sonny.

A bracelet that he recalled she had said she lost.

A tiny rock she had painted because she said it helped her 'relax'.

Even a shirt that had a small tiger in the front that she used to wear to sleep.

Everything she said that had disappeared from her place and that she didn't know how or where she had left them, were all here on this table. Turns out they were all in this creepy man's place.

Heeseung stared at all the objects on the table in shock.

"These are all Sonny's." Jake confirmed making the officer nod his head.
