Jake slowly opened his eyes and quickly closed them again due to the brightness coming from the big window he had forgotten to close the drapes to.The sound of his alarm resonated in the entire apartment and his back hurt from his head laying against the small coffee table.
He opened his eyes again, slowly adjusting to the light.
He reached for his phone, turning off his alarm and seeing the time, realizing it was time for him to get ready for his boring job at the cafe.
He looked up at the ceiling, closing his eyes and stretching his neck with a tired sigh.
Suddenly, he sat up properly as he remembered the events from the night before.
"Sonny?" Jake asked into the empty room.
He looked at the window as he wondered if all of that was just part of his imagination.
It was late at night after all...
Jake stood from the floor and stretched once again.
He walked over to the kitchen to start his water boiler and leaned against the counter to look out of the window again.
His life was slowly starting to become repetitive.
Jake's living the life he always wanted.
Living in a nice area, in a studio apartment with a good view, a stable job which made him just enough money to survive.
Far away from his mother and his crazy family. Somewhere he can get up and be greeted by the sun, nothing else.
But he was getting bored, and he felt like something was missing.
As he got no response from Sonny, he decided to continue with his day for now.
He walked over to the pile of clothes he had left next to the laundry basket and picked them up, before moving on to his bed to make it.
Jake wasn't a very neat person, and his bed was never something that he cared about.
Now that he realized there could be a girl looking at him do everything in his home, made him a little more self-conscious.
But then again, that girl could just be a product of his tired imagination.
After making his bed, he started walking towards the bathroom, but he was startled once he saw a figure suddenly appear in front of him.
He jumped at the sight of Sonny.
This time her ponytail was a lot neater than the night before, and her pajamas were a different set, this time dark blue silk.
"Hey..." His greeting trailed off as she didn't turn to look at him and only walked towards the bathroom, opening the door making his eyebrows raise in surprise. "I thought you couldn't touch anything."
Sonny didn't turn to him at all, almost as if she couldn't hear him.
She was walking as if this was her house again, stretching her arms over her head as if she had just woken up.
Jake furrowed his eyebrows a bit, before following her to the bathroom and standing at the door frame, watching her turn on the faucet and wash her face.
He tilted his head in confusion, as she seemed more alive compared to the night before.
His eyes looked around the bathroom, noticing the shower curtains were a deep hue of green, instead of his regular black curtains, and the carpet in front of the exit of the shower was also different.
