Jake walked into the bathroom, turning on the lights.

He felt his heart raise, remembering everything that had happened in that bathroom, but he decided to try to calm down as he placed the bag from the store on the sink.

He approached the shower curtain and started to gently remove it, before tossing the dark curtain to a corner.

He reached for the bag and pulled out new curtains of a lighter color, smiling a little before continuing to set them up.

He realized that the apartment was too dark.

He had been sitting in that darkness for too long now, and it started to feel suffocating after remembering everything.

Jake remembers how bright the apartment was when Sonny was there. The curtains were lighter to bring in the sunlight, the couch was white, and the bedsheets were always in bright colors.

It was relaxing and peaceful whenever he was there, and he thought changing the vibes of the apartment would make him feel peaceful again.

Although internally he knew that what truly made the place so beautiful was Sonny.

A knock at the door made him pause what he was doing.

He stayed in place, trying to hear if there was another sound. Maybe of Sonny opening the door.

He was starting to have a hard time making a distinction between reality and hallucinations, so a lot of the time when something happened outside of his own control he wondered if it was real or not.

He walked over to the door and opened it, seeing Heeseung standing there with a backpack.

Jake stared at him in confusion, wondering what he was doing there.

Heeseung shifted a bit on his feet before raising his eyebrows.

"Are you letting me in?"

Jake blinked a couple of times before stepping out of his way.

"Your doctor told me to stay with you for the time being. She said you could hurt yourself somehow if you have hallucinations. So, I'm here for damage control." He said under his breath as he placed his backpack on the couch.

Jake was still holding the front door, staring at his back before letting it go for it to close on its own.

He didn't know what to say to Heeseung's statement, so he only nodded his head and walked back towards the bathroom, before stopping midway and turning around to face Heeseung.

"Why you?"

"When you arrived at the hospital after Sonny passed, Dr. Hart did your psychiatric analysis. You don't remember?" Heeseung said softly, making Jake shake his head.

"I don't remember anything that happened that day."

Jake only remembers waking up in an ambulance and questioning why he was there after seeing it happen just a few days ago.

But he had no other recollection of what happened on that day after he was taken away from Sonny.

He was too out of his mind.

"I saw the commotion outside of the apartment when it happened, and I had gone to the hospital to see you, since I knew you would be alone-"

"Why?"

"I felt bad for you... Anyway, I met her there and we've kept contact since. She's been giving me advice on how to deal with your health. That's why I avoided taking shifts at the same time you did once you applied for the job at the cafe."
