"You didn't tell me na aattend ka?" We are now sitting in the backseat. The driver maneuver the car and soon we are driving in the highway.
"You didn't ask." Tinaasan ko sya ng kilay. He chuckle a little before he lean back.
"I am escorting you." He said as he casually pull out a bunch of roses in the back.
"Kelan ako pumayag?" Inabot ko ang bulaklak at inamoy iyon. It smells nice. I couldn't stop my smile from showing.
"Kanina, mga 6 minutes ago nung sumama ka sakin." Inirapan ko naman sya at bahagya syang tumawa.
"Isn't it obvious? Sa tingin mo ba hahayaan kitang dumalo doon mag-isa ang dami daming pwedeng umepal sa iyo. No way I'm allowing any of that." Gusto kong matawa sa pag irap nya. Ang cute kasi.
"Then what's with this dress? Bakit nasa iyo ito? This is so expensive." He hold my hand and kiss it. Buti na lamang di nya ginugulo mukha ko baka masira make up.
"When I saw you wearing that I know that you are the owner of it. I am really entice that's why I bought it. I don't know kung kelan ko sya maibibigay sa iyo that's why I made them change the theme of the event." He casually said. He change the theme? Is that even possible. Is that why he's so busy?
" But, aren't you with Alessa that time? Did you bought it while you are in a date with her? Besides, kakaremind mo pa lamang noon sa akin na papaalisin mo ako sa company mo and you bought this?" I don't know what to feel about this but one thing I know is, it's excessive.
" Yes, I know we are at odds that time but I can't help it. I don't even know why I did it. I am with her but you are in my mind the whole time. All I know is that dress belongs to you." I don't know what to argue with him anymore.
" Thank you I really like this but you don't have to. You don't have to go all that trouble. " I mean changing the theme so I have a valid reason to wear this? There will be more event that will suit this dress but he's so hasty.
" Well I don't have to but I want to so don't think too much about it. Just enjoy this night. " He gave me a genuine smile and my heart almost melt. I look away and cough. Why is he being sweet and expressive?
"We're here Ma'am, Sir." The chauffeur stop the car on the entrance. Red carpet is lay down and there are many photographers on both side of the carpet.
Naunang bumaba si Shawn upang umikot sa pwesto ko and I can see camera flashes on him. Bumukas ang pinto ng sasakyan at inalalay nya ang kanyang kamay sakin. I hesitantly took it. Pagkababa ko ay agad hinawakan ni Shawn ang aking beywang as I almost get blind by camera flashes.
He's hand is possessively holding my waist and I know it will cause a speculation. I could have just encircle my hands around his arms to avoid further rumours but that is impossible now.
We pose on the booth and he's still not letting me go. Maraming nakatingin sa aming tao pati ang mga reporters at photographer ang mukhang gustong gusto na magtanong. I still have an ongoing 'talk' with Cloud and appearing in a public event like this is a huge gossip.
They started to call the attendees and we are waiting for our turn. Nang matawag na kami ay muling naglagitikan ang tunog ng mga camera. We were guided to our seat and the event starts after a few more minutes.
After 2 hour of introduction, programs and cause of the event, socialising started. Nagsimulang magsilapitan ang ibang artista para makipagkamay sa amin. We held a small talk and so on.
Nakita ko sa kabilang side si Nathalia. Ngumiti sya sa akin at nagpakawala ako ng pilit na ngiti. Inis pa din ako sa paghampas hampas nya kay Shawn nung nakaraan at inis din ako sa sarili ko dahil naiinis ako.
Shawn is still holding my waist while holding conversation. Walang lalaking matagal makapag-usap sa amin dahil siguro ay nakakaintimidate ang presence ni Shawn.
Nakita ko namang papalapit si Cloud at napatingin din si Shawn. His jaw clench and he pull me closer. Malapit na sana si Cloud ng biglang may mga sumulpot na interviewers. It seems like they are just waiting na maubos ang kausap ko.
"Ms. Chantal what can you say about Cloud's confession?" ani ng isang lalaking reporter.
"Do you think Cloud and you might have a chance?" Another mic was place in front of me.
"You're a popular model can you see yourself entering the show business?"
"What are your relationship with your escort?"
"You're with the CEO of Montero group, do you have a relationship?" singit ng isang babaeng reporter. They are crowding us and asking questions left and right that I can't almost speak.
"Mr. Montero what is your relationship with Ms. Chantal?" ngayon naman ay ibinaling nila kay Shawn ang tanong.
They are really crowding us. Akala ko ay hindi iimik si Shawn pero ibinaba nya ang kanyang hawak sa aking beywang papunta sa aking kamay.
"Chantal and I are in a relationship." Napatingin ako sa kanya habang sunod sunod ang tunog ng camera. Pinisil ko ang kanyang kamay ngunit mas pinagsalikop nya lamang ang aming palad.
What the hell is he saying? Is he marking me in front of media?
Napatingin din sa amin ang ibang artista at nagsimulang magbulungan.
"Why didn't you say anything about Cloud's interview?" Singit ng isa pang interviewer.
Nakatingin ako kay Shawn because I'm still shock from what he said.
"I told her not to answer. It's not like she's oblige to answer every confession to her." He flatly said.
I saw Cloud leaving from the crowd and murmurs from other attendees. This is a disaster. Why did he say this out of nowhere? Is this his plan all along? Sneaky bastard. I can feel him smirking without him doing it.
" Ms. Chantal is that true?" Now the spotlight is on me. I gulp a little because I am really caught off guard. I'm not prepared for this.
Tiningnan ko ulit si Shawn and he meaningfully look at me. He smirk a little and it's like a warning. Damn, I can go all bratty but not all the time. We're in front of media and repercussions will definitely happen.
"Yes." I hesitantly said. Muling naglagitikan ang camera at nagpatuloy ang iilang bulungan.
"Gaano na kayo katagal ni Mr. Montero?" Tiningnan ko si Shawn amd he's smiling playfully and it seems like he's enjoying this situation.
"Ms. Chantal?" The reporter urge me again. I smile before I answer. Damn here goes my peace. Surely, this will be a hot topic afterwards.
"3 months." Kasi 3 months na kaming naninirahan magkasama. That's all I can think.
I look at Shawn again and he's still smiling. Muli nyang ipinulupot ang kanyang kamay sa aking beywang bago bumulong.
"Damn right. We're in a relationship." Muling naglagitikan ang camera habang nalulunod ang aking isipan kakaisip kung anong mangyayari pagkatapos nito.
