"Good morning, Gorgeous. " Shawn said with a big smile. Tinaasan ko lamang sya ng kilay at inirapan.
"Ang sungit naman po. Ang aga aga e." Inis ko syang hinarap. Kami lamang dalwa sa elevator ngayon at gustong gusto ko syang supalpalin.
"Can you shut up?! Nakakairita ka." Iimik pa sana sya ng bumukas ang elevator. Nagtinginan ang mga empleyadong papasok sana sa aming dalwa.
"We'll take the next one Ma'am." They said curtly. Lalong naningkit mata ko. Ayaw ko ng mapag isa kasama sya.
"Get in." I said sternly. Pumasok naman sila at sa wakas mababawasan na ang stress ko. Under maintenance pa kasi ung private elevator ko kaya eto wala akong choice.
Pagkarating ko sa floor ko ay agad kong napansin ang parang bulungan ng mga empleyado.
"What's happening?" agad naman silang umalis sa kumpulan at sabay sabay akong binati.
"Good morning, Ma'am" They are looking at me with curiosity lalo na nung sumulpot si Shawn sa tabi ko.
"I said what's happening?" I look at them with a very serious expression.
"Nothing, Ma'am. There's just an article and interviews regarding your relationship with Sir Shawn back in the Philippines. We're just surprise." napapikit na lang ako ng mariin bago huminga ng malalim. Sinasabi na e aabot at aabot dito ang nakaraan.
"This is not the time and place for that right? Do you think that is appropriate? This is a workplace be professional." yumuko naman sila at isa isang humingi ng paumanhin bago bumalik sa kani kanilang upuan.
I know what i said is right pero naging kaclose ko sila from our many projects and we have some personal connection maybe that is why they think it's fine to ask things out in the open.
Napahilot na lamang ako sa aking sintido pagdating ko sa aking office. I know they are bound to know what's our relationship. We were pretty much a public figure before.
Nag focus na lamang ako sa mga documents na nasa harap ko ng maantala ako ng mumunting katok.
"Come in" unti unting sumilip si Shawn na may bitbit na pagkain.

"Tara na. Hindi ako aalis dito hanggang di ka nakain." binalik ko ang tingin sa mga papeles na hawak ko.
"Get out. Bago ako tumawag ng poo security." bahagya syang tumawa at tinaasan ko sya ng kilay.
"What's funny?" umayos sya ng upo.
"You know Im a shareholder too. I have the right to be here. I can say na I'm just asking about the company--"
"But you're not. so leave." I cut him off.
"I will. Just eat and I will leave. Mag aala una na di ka pa rin lumalabas dito." He's right. Masyado akong nafocus sa ginagawa ko.
"I'm not hungry." saktong bukas nya ng laman ng tupperware at naamoy ko ang sinigang na dala nya. Agad na kumalam ang tyan ko. Umiwas ako ng tingin. Alam kong narinig nya yun.
" I'll just leave this here. Please eat." tumayo na sya at lumabas matapos maghain ng pagkain.
Pagkasara ng pinto ay lumapit ako sa mesa at kumain. It's not good to waste food right.
Sa mga sumunod na araw ay patuloy pa din akong ginagambala ni Shawn. I think everyone in the company ay nabalitaan na ang relasyon namin ni Shawn. Those gossipers hays.
I'm currently heading home when I was hit with a realization. Why am I not dating other men? I mean it's been almost half a year since the break up.
Maybe if I have a new boyfriend ay lulubayan na nya ako.
My plan set to motion. Kinagabihan ay dumalo ako sa party ng business partner ko. It is a high profile event kung saan mga kilalang tao ang dumadalo. Nadito rin ang ibat ibang business tycoon na single ayon kay Janna.

Mr. Lu is an important person he helped me a lot para masecure ang position ko as a CEO here. He's also my adoptive mother's confidant so I owe him.
We just talked a bit after I greeted them and offered my congratulations. Marami pa silang bisita na ieentertain e.
I can feel the stares from the people. Even with a mask I know I caught their attention afterall I am the new CEO of Everest group.
May mga lumalapit sa akin para sa small talks and I gladly talked to them. I look around and saw few men looking my way. Exactly what I need. I need to start entertaining new possibilities. No, this is not a rebound thingy. I gaslight myself. Nagsimula na ang event at after ng sayaw ng couple ay unti unti na ding nagsisimulang sumayaw ang mga guests.
Right on cue, a tall moreno guy approached me. He's wearing a navy blue tux with white mask.
"Good evening, gorgeous. May I have a dance with you?" he casually said. I eye him once again. He's good looking even with that mask. I smile sweetly as I accept his hand. Giniya nya ako sa dance floor. The sound of the instruments fill the air malamlam din ang music like a soft song.
" Hello, you're quite famous aren't you?" He said with a grin.
"How so?" I tilted my head a bit.
"They say you are the new CEO of the famous Everest Group. So impressive, given the fact that the Everest lineage reigns for generations." He said with admiration.
"Well that I am. How about you?" I asked as he twirls me around.
"Are you curious about me?" He chuckled softly.
"Nah, I just think it's polite to ask a question back." I said casually. He chuckle louder this time.
"Well, about me? I am just an investor. My hobby is investing and watching my money grew with minimal effort. " We continue to sway in motion.
"That's amazing but quite a risk and decision making."
"Well that's just how it is. In everything not just in business. Won't you agree?" He said with a hint of playfulness.
I laugh and look at him. Only to see him looking intently at me.
"You know you are really gorgeous. You're captivating me." I laugh a little more when I suddenly felt a chill. When I look around, I saw him in the corner drinking wine, staring coldly at us.
