"Baby are you ready?"
It's been 2 week since I'd been discharge. Nakaattend na din ako sa mga photoshoot and ramps. All in all I'm doing what I normally do.
"Yep, let's go." I check myself one last time before I approach Shawn. We're wearing a matching navy blue color. He's wearing a suit while I am on a slit backless silk gown. The theme is dark colors and this is what we chose.
Pupunta kami ngayon sa debut ng pinsan nya. I was hesitant at first since may badblood kami ng mama nya but he said not to worry because his cousin admire me so much. Sa katunayan ay she personally handed me the invitation and took a lot of selfise with me.
"You look breathtaking as ever baby." Shawn smile at me and kiss me on my hand. He knows not to mess with my make up before the event. I thought him well.
"Thank you. You look so dashing baby ko." He chuckle and encircle his hand on my waist.
"Marunong ka ng lumambing. I like it so much." Natawa naman ako at marahang hinampas ang kanyang dibdib. Bumaba na kami while having a small talk.
Pagkadating namin sa venue ay madami na din ang tao. The place is extravagant. The decorations, the chandeliers are no joke and the guests are mostly high profile.
"This way po Ma'am and Sir." The guide ushered us to our designated sit. The event is about to start kaya nagfocus na lamang kami sa unahan.
Maya-maya pa ay tinawag na ang celebrant. She gracefully walk down the stairs with a blood red sparkling ball gown. Nagsipalakpakan ang mga bisita at ganun din kami.
I roam my eyes around and I saw Georgina with Shawn's mom. She's looking at me too. I smirk at her as I felt Shawn's hand on my shoulder. I can see visible irritation in her eyes as she look away.
Maya-maya pa ay tinawag na ang 18's. I was included at 18 candles. Nang tinawag ang aking pangalan ay ramdam ko ang tingin ng mga tao sa akin. Well, given na hot topic ako lately ay para na din akong public figure. I smile as I walk towards the debutant and deliver a speech. After that ay nagphoto taking lang. I can feel the glare somewhere and I was right. Georgina and Shawn's mom are giving me a deadly stare. I just smile sweetly to piss them more. Shawn's mom was called earlier but Georgina is not included in the list.
Pagkabalik ko sa aking upuan ay hinalikan ako ni Shawn sa ulo. I smile at him and listen to the event. Maya-maya pa ay tinawag na din si Shawn para sa 18 roses. Ikalima sya sa sumayaw sa debutant. He swirl his cousin around and they laugh a little. Seems like they are close and I know she look up to him.
Pagkabalik ni Shawn sa table ay nagkwentuhan kami about how the debutant always follow him around when she was little. Wala kasi syang kapatid na babae so parang yun ang turing nya sa kanya.
Matapos ang 18's ay nagkaroon ng mini party and socialisation. Shawn put my hand on his arm. We walk toward his relatives and he introduce me to them. I smile and greet them. Some even ask for a picture with me.
"Why are you running that girl around." I heard a hostile voice behind. Walang masyado tao sa pwesto namin ngayon kung kaya siguro nadito ang ina nya.
"What do you mean?" Shawn asked coldly to her mom.
"Buti wala ang ama mo dito ngayon. You shouldn't introduce that low level slut when I already chose a perfect wife to you." Shawn eyes darken. I didn't say anything.
"Mom, stop. Watch your mouth. Baka makalimutan kong ina kita. You don't have any right to choose for me. If you want her so bad then marry her." His mother face became twisted. She look at me sharply and I just shrugged. Well, I may look like a villainess in her eyes but who cares.
" You really have no respect to me anymore. That's because of her influence. " Shawn look so done with her mom.
" You woman! I won't accept you ever. I know what type of person you are. You're just gonna leech of my son and flirts around as you pleases." She said as she point at me. Agad na hinarang ni Shawn ang kanyang katawan at binaba ang kamay ng kanyang ina. This time I know that he's ultra mad.
" I told you to stop. Do you want to make a scene here? Really?" He said in an angry voice
" I told you to stop insulting her. She's the woman I love and you can't do anything about it. Now, kung ipipilit nyo ang gusto nyo then you'll definitely lose me. You already lost dad to his mistress, do you want me gone too? " He said coldly and his mom was in utter shock. I almost gasp.
" I'm sorry if I have that impression to you but I love your son first and I will always do. " I said politely at her. I guess she's still shock from Shawn words. It seems like she ain't hearing anything.
Shawn put his hand on my waist and pull me away, leaving his mom alone.
"I'm sorry, baby. Dahil sa akin ay nag-away pa kayo ng mom mo." I really feel bad kasi alam kong nasasaktan nanay nya. He held my hand and kiss it.
"No, baby. I'm the one who's sorry. You shouldn't hear those words nor receive that kind of treatment. You deserve all the great things in the world and I will give that to you." He said sincerely. I smile and hug him. Buti na lamang walang paparazzi sa event na to kaya hindi ko need maging conscious sa mga galaw ko. We socialise for a bit. Afterwards, ay nagpaalam ako para pumunta ng rest room. He insisted to come with me but I decline him. Malapit lang naman ang comfort room and he's in the middle of talk with his uncles. He kissed me on my forehead before letting me go.
Pagkatapos kong umihi at mag ayos ay lumabas ako ng cubicle. I was retouching my make up when a woman went out from another cubicle. She's none other than Georgina. She's wearing an emerald green fitted sequin dress as she walk proudly beside me.
"Well aren't you lovely." She said with full of disdain while eyeing me.
"Can't say the same to you tho." I smile sweetly to piss her even more.
