I laze around the entire Saturday. I think I deserve this much. Palagi ko pa ding naiisip ang aking pamilya and how I wish I can hug them right now. My reality now is complicated. Things didn't even turn out the way I expect it. My only consolation in my life is the fact that my family is alive and well.
I really need a proper vacation. I was binge watching Euphoria when my phone rang.
'Radon calling...' I answered it.
"Hello, Chantal good day! How are you?" He seem enthusiastic.
"I am good how about you?" I took some dried veggies and munch it.
"I am good too lalo na at magkikita tayo bukas." Napatigil ako sa pagnguya. Right, magkikita kami bukas ipapasyal nya ako sa site and lalabas kami. Basically a date.
"Yup me too." I awkwardly said kasi nakalimutan ko talaga. I guess I am really occupied lately.
"Can I pick you up? If you don't mind" I pause the video and drink some water.
"Sure! I'll send you my address."
"Thank you! I'll pick you up at 9 am." He sounds very happy I can vision him smiling through the screen. He's really cute.
It's a good thing that Shawn is away and he's not bombarding me with messages. I guess he's really busy and I can enjoy my life in peace. Suddenly, my doorbell rang. Tumayo ako para silipin pero hindi ko agad binuksan. Mamaya ay may masamang loob sa labas. Wala naman akong inorder or may alam na darating. After 5 minutes I slowly open the door and I saw a bouquet of flowers. I picked it up and read the note.
'Have a great day my Chantal. Think of me. - S' I roll my eyes and crumple the paper. So much for peace, kahit wala sya ay naiinis nya pa din ako. I guess this is pre ordered before he left because he will surely annoy me if he has a chance. Well, whatever. I left the flower on the window sill and went back watching the series.
Kinabukasan ay medyo maaga akong gumising. Nag work out muna ako ng kaonte sa aking sariling gym room bago naligo. I wore a simple blue dress that reaches my mid thighs, a white knitted cardigan and a 2 inches sandals. I curl my hair and let it down. I wore a pair of dangling earrings and took my LV handbag before I left.
Pagkalabas ko ay nadoon na si Radon and he's smiling as I approach him.
"Good morning, Chantal. You look gorgeous everyday." I smile and he hands me bouquet of flower. It's really pretty.
"Good morning and thank you! You look dashing as well." He slightly blush and scratch his ears which is turning red too. He's wearing a blue polo and a jeans. Mapapagkamalan kaming naka couple shirt because we are wearing the same hue of blue.
"Thank you" It seems like nakabawi na sya. He's so weak at compliment. Pinagbuksan nya ako ng pinto at ihinarang nya ang kanyang kamay sa may taas para hindi ako mauntog. We smile at each other bago sya umikot sa driver seat. Nagkamustahan lamang kami at nagkwentuhan hanggang sa makarating sa site.
"Good morning engineer." The guard greeted him as he enter the site. He drove a little more before he park his car. He remove our seat belt and he went out first to open the door for me. He held his hand out and I accept it. Pagkababa ko ay inayos ko muna ang aking suot bago naglakad.
"Magandang umaga po." The workers are very energetic.
"Good morning, engineer and Ma'am. Girlfriend mo po? " Many people greeted us and one really ask the most probable question.
"Good morning din sa inyo. She is Chantal Madrigal, nililigawan ko sya. Dinala ko sya dito para maipasyal sa site." Agad naman kaming kinantyawan ng mga tao. Bahagya akong namumula dahil sa pagpapakilala nya sa akin. Kinurot ko sya ng bahagya at tumatawa din sya ng mahina habang umiilag.
" Magandang umaga po sa inyong lahat." Nahihiya kong bati sa kanila. Masaya naman nila kaming tinitingnan ni Radon.
" Magandang umaga, Ma'am. Sagutin nyo na po si Sir, pogi na mabait pa. Saan ka pa." Hirit ng isang lalaking sa palagay ko ay nasa mid 40's.
" Kaya nga, Ma'am. Kayo pa lamang ang dinala nyang babae dito." He's younger. I guess he's just in mid 20's.
"Magalang din iyang bata. Kahit na sya ang may mataas na posisyon dito ay hindi nya kami tinatrato ng parang trabahador lamang." It seems like he's one of the eldest here. But he's not that old, he's actually fit.
"I guess they really admire you. Is this one of your way to gain points." Biniro ko si Radon at tumawa lamang ulit sya.
"Well, am I gaining points?" Tumawa na din ako sa kanila.
"Silly! But seriously, you are a very good person you earn they respect and trust. They really admire you." I can also see it in his eyes that he value people. He don't see them as a tool.
"Well, they are my people." I smile and lean on him. He is really a nice guy. He's my type of guy.
"Ma'am kapag sinagot nyo si Sir, sabihan nyo sana kami. Magvivideo oke tayo." Agad naman syang sinegundahan ng iba. We stay for a few hours and nakipagmingle ako sa mga workers nya. They are all nice people and they are doing their best for their family. He also let students do part time job in here and he also offer scholarships sa ilan sa kanila.
We left after a few hours and went to sm. He put a cap on me and we walk to a restaurant. I'm really not that popular like a celebrity because I don't appear on tvs that often but still many people knows me. So I have to wear a cute cap and a face mask.
We order foods and eat while talking about random things. Pagkatapos ay namasyal kami at naglaro sa arcade. We are having a lot of fun. Naikuha nya din akong malaking bunny stuff toy sa claw machine. We take a few pictures sa mga nilaruan namin and went to a photoboot and karaoke. We are like teenagers dating but this is so fun. Pagkatapos ay naglakad lakad kami then I saw my face on a famous clothing line. They already put my poster na pala. I'm wearing a yellow summer dress and a summer hat while walking and looking down at wheat field.
"Look it's you. Let's take a picture with it." Ngumiti naman ako at agad na pumayag. He also ask me to take a picture of him with my advertisement/poster. He's really happy and I am happy too. How I wish he is the one.
"We should do this more often." He's smiling and he is slowly trying to put his hand on my hand. I let him and we walk to another restau because it's already 8 pm and we are both starving from all of our activities.
