65 (His Way)

"Baby."
He said with a sad almost begging voice. He's holding my favorite flower and is looking at me with desperation, like I might disappear again.

One glance at him and you know he's miserable. He has dark circle under his eyes, his hair were awry, his mustach is growing in all places.

Ibinawi ko ang aking tingin at hindi sya tinugon. Mas lalo syang lumapit at lalo akong sinecure ng mga body guards.

"Baby, let's talk. Please." I stop on my track. I never thought I'll hear him beg especially in front of other people. Well not that it matters. Akma akong sasakay ng sasakyan na makarinig ako ng commotion. Walang kahirap hirap nyang napatumba ang sampung bodyguard ko. Mga walang silbi!

"Stop getting in my way. You ruin the flowers." asik nya sa mga ito. Seriously?

Ngayon ay nagtagumpay syang lumapit sa akin but I didn't move nor show any emotions.

"Baby, let me explain. I can explain. I promise." He tried to hug me but I gave him a sharp look. He didn't push through.

"I'm not interested. Don't bother me again."  I was about to get in the car when he suddenly hug me. Nanlaki ang aking mata at agad syang tinulak ngunit hindi sya nagpatinag.

"I miss you so much, my Chantal. You suddenly disappear. I've been looking for you." I keep on pushing him pinandilatan ko ang mga body guard na nakatumba at pilit silang tumayo at nilayo sya sa akin. Agad ko syang sinampal.

"Don't touch me and don't take my name out of your mouth. You have no right to do so." I am fuming mad. His betrayal came rushing to my mind all over again. How he betrayed me. How he make out with another woman. How he tear me to pieces. All of that. Seeing him like this made me spiral back to that time.

" Baby, please. " He beg. I close my eyes and tried so hard to suppress any emotion.

"Go away." I successfully enter the car. Agad ko itong pinatakbo sa driver and I can still see him chasing me from behind.

I close my eyes and let the tears flow.

Seeing him again is not good for me. A month is not enough to erase the damage he caused me. It's not enough. Nakatulala lamang ako hanggang sa makatulog. Sana ay hindi ko na ulit sya makita.

Kinabukasan ay nakita ko na naman sya sa tapat ng kompanya. He's patiently waiting while holding a new batch of flowers. Nang makita nya ako ay agad nabuhayan ang kanyang mata. I blatantly ignore him. I didn't look back and kept my composure.

Pagkadating ko sa office ay sinubsob ko ang aking sarili sa mga documents. I need to keep my mind occupied. I stop after a few hours and notice something odd with Janna. It's like she wants to say something.

"What's bothering you?" I asked her. Mukha syang nagulat ng bahagya.

"I don't mean to be rude or interfere Ms. Louise but that man is your boyfriend right?" She asked cautiously.

"Ex. His my ex boyfriend." Although we didn't have any proper break up.

"I see. Is he the known Mr. Shawn Matthew Montero?" I nod and close my eyes. It seems like she's really a capable secretary. She knows everything.

"What about it?" I asked coldly. I hate hearing his name. I hate it coming out from other woman's mouth.

"Well, before you came back here there is a big dating scandal and when you got here there are even greater chaos--" I frown.

"Stop. I don't wanna hear about it. That's not my business anymore." I said coldly. I don't wanna hear things that can broke my resolve. I refuse. I'm barely holding on. I can't lose myself again.

"I apologise. I didn't mean to interfere." I know, I'm just sensitive about this matter.

"It's fine. I know you don't mean ill. It's just a sensitive topic for me. Can you leave me for a bit. Take a break." She nodded and exit curtly.

I sigh and massage my forehead. Tumayo ako at sumilip sa labas. There I saw him. Still waiting. Agad kong sinara ang bintana at umupo muli.

That jerk. Why is he still here? Napakadami nyang dapat asikasuhin sa Pilipinas so why is he here waiting like an abandoned puppy.

Isinubsob kong muli ang aking sarili sa trabaho. Maya maya ay may kumatok. Pumasok si Janna at may dala syang take out paper ng isang famous restaurant.

"Miss, may nagpapabigay sa inyo." Lumapit sya sa akin at ibinaba ito sa mesa.

"Sino?" She shrugged and pick up other documents.

"Naabutan ko lang Miss sa may lobby."
Kinuha ko iyon at binuksan. It smells good. Ngayon ko naramdaman ang gutom. Alas dose na pala. Kakainin ko na sana iyon ng may mahulog na note.

"Take care of yourself, baby." one sentence and I know kung kanino galing.

"Take this out. Please, Order me another food." agad namang tumalima si Janna. She didn't asked any question and I glad she didn't.

Natapos ang araw at nakita ko pa rin syang naghihintay. He tried to approach me again but I straight up ignored him. Magsasawa din sya.

Sa loob ng isang linggo ay ganun ang naging set up namin. He's patiently waiting outside the company holding a flower and sending me foods. I even banned him but he just move location where I can't stop him.

Papunta na ako ngayon sa company and I haven't seen him from his usual spot. Sabi na e magsasawa din sya.

Pumunta ako sa office ko but I couldn't fully concentrate. Isn't this what I want. Right, let's forget it.

I went out and was about to visit the accounting section nang matigilan ako.

This can't be happening. Why is he here? I just banned him so why is he inside? What trick did he pull this time.

"Good morning, Ms. Ainsworth." People greeted me and he smile at me. He look so overjoyed when he saw me.

"What are you doing here?" I said coldly.

"Miss Ainsworth, he's one of our new councillors." The head of HR told me.

"What?" I said angrily. This bastard really knows how to get under my skin.

"I was about to introduce him to you." She said smiling.

"Fire him." I sternly said. Nagtitinginan na ang ibang employee pero wala akong pakialam.

"Miss, we can't do that without a valid reason and besides." She hesitated.

"What?" asik ko. Agang aga ay nag iinit ang ulo ko. Kaya pala wala sya kanina ay pinasok na nya ang lugar ko.

"Good morning, My Chantal. I am one of your new shareholders." He gave me a very sweet smile that gets on my nerve.

How can I escape this jerk. His ways work effectively all the time.
