Y/n's POV
"Y/n get up!" My mom yelled from downstairs. "I'm not kidding Y/n if you don't get up right now you're going to be late!" I groaned and lazily got out of bed. I quickly got changed into a plain outfit, nothing to attract attention to myself.
(Your Outfit)
The bus ride there was slow and taunting. I sat near the front of the bus, sitting in the first available seat. I put my AirPods in and just started blasting music in my ear, wanting to drown out the world around me.
I could see the bus getting closer to the school as it accelerated in speed, we were definitely going over the speed limit.
We passed by the front of the school in a flash, almost hitting a girl who was just trying to cross the street. The bus dropped us off at the bus stop, as we all shuffled off, heading inside the school. So we were just gonna ignore that we almost killed someone?? Ok...
Right when I entered one thing was clear to me.
Everyone had there cliques.
It was cliché to say the least and it was obvious what these cliques were. There were the jocks, nerds, cheerleaders, theatre kids, you name it.
I made my way to the front office, picking up my schedule and locker combo. I dropped off my stuff in my locker, only taking the necessary books.
My first class was AP English, then P.E. I was good at English, it made sense to me. Now you throw numbers in front of me? Yeah you lost me.
As I walked in I took a seat towards the back and started doodling in my notebook until the teacher came. She made some quick announcements about what we'll be doing today.
"Oh! And before I forget we have a new student! Y/n, would you like to introduce yourself?" She asked, I looked at her with a blank expression and noticed all eyes were one me. "No thanks." I replied simply. I didn't want to introduce myself so I wasn't going to. The class snickered at my response but Ms. Introduce yourself seemed to shut it down fairly quickly.
She seemed a bit taken aback by my response as she only nodded and continued to teach. I don't think the class was very interested in what my favorite color was.
When the bell finally rang, I made my way to the gym. I was dreading P.E it was filled with boys screaming at me to catch the ball.
"Catch the ball it's not that hard!"
"You're making us loose!"
"What the fuck are you doing!"
"Oh my god just give me the ball!"
"Pass it, dumbass!"
It's not that serious. It's literally high school P.E. You're not in the NBA or NFL calm the fuck down. And no Steven, or Kyle, you're not cool because you were the last one standing playing dodgeball.
When I arrived our Gym teacher, Coach Carr explained that we will be starting our everyday sports unit, which includes, pool, ping pong, bowling, etc. I honestly didn't even know those were sports til now. He was probably only doing easy sports because his fat ass didn't want to demonstrate an actual sport.
"You guys will need a partner," Before he could continue everyone started to converse about who was partnering with who. Coach Carr cleared his throat. "I have already chosen your partners." Everybody groaned, as he called out names.
I realized practically everyone had a partner except me.
"I don't have a partner." Me and some other girl said at the same time. I looked over to see a tall, blonde, girl. Looking incredibly annoyed. "Well you guys can partner up then." Coach Carr stated as he blew the whistle signaling for us to start.
I walked over to her as she narrowed her eyes at me. She studied my face, looking me up and down. "Why haven't I seen you here before?" The blonde girl asked,
"I just moved here." I stated plainly, not wanting to give anymore information than that. Her mouth formed an 'O' shape at my words. She looked at me again with expecting eyes, as if she wanted me to continue. I stood there awkwardly but then decided that it would probably be best to introduce myself.
"I'm Y/n, by the way." I added, extending my hand gesturing for her to shake it. She looked at me like I was crazy as I slowly retracted my hand. The blonde girl began to speak. "Well you must know who I am."
"This is literally my first day here, no I do not know who you are." She laughed a bit, a slow sarcastic laugh. "Oh my god, that's right, I feel so dumb right now." She chuckled, this time more normal.
"Probably cause you are..." I mumbled to myself, kicking at the ground. "What was that?" She asked, in a sweet tone. "Oh! Uh nothing." I blushed, looking at her.
"Hm, ok, well I'm Regina." She answered my non-existent question. "Ok? uhm..What are we supposed to be doing anyway?" I questioned, I looked around and everyone was off in there groups playing, shuffle board? I think, I don't even know at this point.
"I honestly have no idea." Regina smiled, and I smiled too, then we both burst into fits of laughter.
We played shuffle board until Coach Carr blew his whistle, signaling to us that class was almost over. Regina kept hitting the buck thing to far and she had to run and get it. She's very aggressive, probably good at dodge ball. As I was putting some of the equipment away Regina walked up to me.
"You should sit with me and my friends at lunch." She asked, smiling. I looked at her and smiled back at her.
"No."
