Y/n's POV
Once I got home from McDonald's, I immediately texted Regina.
Me: do you think I should come out to Audrey????
Regina: I mean yea u don't wanna be friends with someone homophobic
Me: ok so do I say "hey I'm gay" or "hey I'm gay and dating Regina"
Regina: no make her guess who ur dating and only tell her if she guesses right
Me: omg that's a great idea
Regina: ik 😘
I didn't know whether to do it over the phone or text, but ultimately decided to just call her. She picked up on the first ring. "Hey! What's up?" She asked.
"Hey I have something important to tell you."
"Do you have cancer?"
"W-what?? No I-"
"Did you get kicked out??"
"No! I'm-"
"Wait are you in a mental hospital?"
"Audrey I'm gay!" I finally yell. The phone goes silent for a second, before I continue. "A-and, I'm actually seeing someone so..."
"Who are you dating???" She questions, obviously wanting to know, who the fuck is also gay at our school. I smirk to myself then respond. "Guess."
She sighs loudly. "Chloe from math?"
"No"
"Penelope from science?"
"No"
"Lillian? That senior that got held back?"
"God no."
"Brooklyn?"
That name made me almost want to throw up. My ex best friend, yikes...
"Nope!"
"God! Will you just tell me?"
"Nah, I'm good."
~~~
After almost an hour of guessing, Audrey was running out of people. "Do they even go to our school?!"
"Yes." I haven't said the word 'yes' in about an hour.
After thinking for a bit, Audrey finally made another guess. "I know it's kinda far fetched, but, she's the only one who isn't a sophomore or freshman, that I haven't named yet." She explains.
"Go on..."
The girl pauses, almost debating her final answer. "Is it Regina?"
I don't say anything for a moment, almost stunned she guessed it. I guess she takes my silence as answer as she immediately gets excited. "It is! Isn't it?!"
"Uhm...yeah.."
"Oh my god!! I'm so happy for you guys!!"
I smile a bit, happy with her reaction. "Uhm, thanks, can you not tell anyone though?"
"Oh yeah no of course!"
We talk some more about Audrey's brand new discovery that I'm gay. I feel like it's kind of obvious right?
"Well I gotta go now, see you tomorrow!" Audrey exclaims, hanging up the phone. After she hangs up, I text Regina the good news.
Me: AUDREYS NOT HOMOPHOBICCC
Regina: YAY
Regina: does she know we're dating?Me: yeah she finally guessed it after like an hour
Regina: LMAO
I was glad Audrey wasn't homophobic, well of course I'm glad, anyways, I was excited to know that I could trust Audrey. I could tell her practically everything now! She's such a sweet person too, she wouldn't do anything to hurt me, or Regina.
