Y/n's POV
"No."
Regina looked at me with utter confusion. She smiled awkwardly, then laughed. "What do you mean no?" The blonde questioned.
"I meant no, I don't want to sit with you and your little friends." I explained, walking away. Regina chased after me as I headed towards my next class.
"No one in their right mind would say no to an offer like this!" She stated, desperately trying to make me change my mind. I continued to walk ignoring her reasons.
"Why do you want me to sit with you guys anyway?" I asked, stopping in front of my math class. "Because!" Wow that helps a lot, 'because' what a great reason.
"Because what?" I mused. Regina's face turned a light pink as she stumbled over her words. "You know what! Never mind!" She retorted, storming off.
I watched her walk away as she suddenly stopped and turned around. She saw me still standing there as I shot her a playful smirk. She scoffed and continued to walked away.
"Alright class!" Spoke my math teacher. I think her name was Ms. Norburry, she seemed to be one of the only math teachers in the school. "Let's continue to expand our knowledge complex numbers."
She began to go on and on about the number system as I just dozed off, day dreaming about going home and sleep. I must've been very noticeably not paying attention as Ms. Norburry called my name.
"Y/n? You're a new student here so what have you learned from my lesson?" She asked me expectantly. I looked around the class dreamingly before my eyes finally met hers. "Oh uhm, I learned about complex numbers." I spoke, recalling the sentence she said at the beginning of class.
She hummed in suspicion but let it slide, I was off the hook, for now. She assigned some bullshit ass homework assignment and excused us to go to our next class then lunch.
4th period seemed to go by rather quickly since it was only History class. Finally lunch rolled around and I immediately spotted Regina and her friends.
I turned slightly to see her talking to some random red head, Regina was smiling sarcastically. The girl sat down with them as some girl started talking to her, rather quickly at that. The red head only nodded, trying to keep up.
Abruptly Regina stood up with her lunch tray and spotted me from across the cafeteria, walking over to me. "You know, you can still sit with us instead of gawking at our table like a creep." She laughed.
I rolled my eyes. "I was not gawking, and I didn't know that was in your vocabulary Regina." I joked, she rolled her eyes, as I began walking away
"Hey where are you going?" She asked me, following right behind me. "The library." I stated plainly.
"Ew why.." She asked, a look of disgust plastering on her face. "Because, I like reading." I explained, again she looked disgusted.
"Whatever I'm gonna go get cheese fries." I nodded, not saying a word. She turned around and began walking away. Shortly after I heard footsteps behind me and low and behold Regina was there right beside me again.
"Oh and if anyone asks, I'm just your gym partner and we only talk about P.E" She requested. I laughed a bit and rolled my eyes. "Same goes for you." I chuckled.
"Same goes for me?? What is that supposed to mean?!" She asked, slightly offended. Deciding to play around, I cracked another joke. "Oh well I have a reputation to uphold, I can't have people knowing I associate myself with you." I laughed a bit.
"You know some people would die for me to even talk to them." She bragged. I rolled my eyes and let out a soft laugh. "Looks like I'm not apart of some people."
Regina scoffed and rolled her eyes, walking away once more.
Regina's POV
I returned to the table, only to be met with silence, I glared at them all suspiciously. "What were you guys talking about?" I asked, trying to get one of them to talk.
"Oh, uhm nothing!" Gretchen quickly replied. I rolled my eyes and ate a cheese fry off my plate. "Who was that girl you were talking to?" Gretchen asked, in a poor attempt to change the subject.
"What girl?" Gretchen laughed a bit, playfully hitting me. "The girl you were just talking to before you sat back down with us silly!"
My mouth formed an O shape, realizing she meant
Y/n. "She's my partner for P.E, practically nobody." I snorted. All 3 girls nodded, falling into another conversation rather quickly.I didn't know anything about Y/n, she really was nobody, nobody at all..
