Y/n's POV

The bell had rung, signaling the end of the school day and Regina's words echoed through my mind.

"My house, after school, 3:30, don't be late."

I've been to Regina's house numerous times, so why was I all the sudden nervous? We were just working on a project, nothing more.

Before I knew it, I was on Regina's front doorstep. I rang the doorbell, waiting patiently for her to answer. Once she opened the door she pulled at her phone and checked the time. "3:31." Was all she said, I rolled my eyes in response.

"I had to wait for you to open the door, I was here 3:30 on the dot." I snapped back. She only hummed, a smile on her face, as I followed her to her bedroom.

"So...what historical figure are we choosing?" I asked, Regina rolled her eyes and sighed. "You really think I invited you over here to work on some stupid history project?" She asked me as if I was slow. I debated my answer and slowly nodded. "Yes...?"

She sighed and rolled her eyes again, making her way over to me. "You know I hate when we fight." She whispered directly in my ear, making shivers go down my spine. I crossed my arms. "Then don't ignore me." I stated simply.

"You know at school I can't-"

"It's not just at school Regina! It's all the time! Even when it's just us, I'm just there for a quick make out session and then I'm useless!" I yelled, she looked taken aback by my quick reply, before returning to her normal demeanor.

"I'm sorry ok?! I'm just not used to..you know..." The blonde started to trail off, and I huffed. "No actually, I don't." I told her.

"I'm not used to, I don't know...people actually wanting to talk to me and not just use me?"

My mouth formed an 'O' shape as I nodded slowly. "I do wanna get to know you Regina, but..do you wanna get to know me?" Regina was quick to reply to my question. "Yes! Of course!"

"Really? 'Cause..it doesn't seem like it." I stated, she hung her head low in disappointment. "I-I'm trying!" Regina pleaded. I sighed and started to grab my stuff. "This was a mistake."

"Y/n please-"

"No. I- I just can't do this with you right now."

Regina's POV

She can't leave. No, I'm finally trying to fix things and she just wants to leave? Absolutely not.

I grabbed her arm and pulled her closer to me. "No. You're not leaving." She looked at me confused and I let go of her. "We're gonna sit here and work this out, and if it takes all night so be it. But you're not leaving until we're good."

She looked taken aback at first, but the started to slowly nod. "Ok.."

"Ok."

It was silent at first, the tension in the room was so thick you could cut it with a knife. "You need to stop ignoring me." Y/n finally spoke. I nodded and she continued. "At school, I don't mind as much, but when we're alone? I'm not someone you just make out with when you feel like it."

"Ok done. You need to listen to me more when I tell you that I have stuff going on, it's like you completely disregard my feelings." I told her.

"Ok yeah you're right."

~~~
We continued to talk and work various things out until we were finally good. "Are we ok now?" I asked her, almost a worried tone in my voice. "More than ok." She smiled.
