Entering the club's main doors, Hina felt the bass thrum through her entire body, like it was reverberating deep in her bones. The neon lights flickered overhead, painting the dim space in shades of electric blue, pink, and violet, casting wild, dancing shadows on the walls. The pulsating rhythm of the music filled the air, and she could already tell it was going to be a long, wild night. Any effects of the cocktails she'd had earlier had worn off, so her first thought was to head straight for the bar.
Before she could take more than a couple of steps, Kuina's arm looped around her waist, pulling her off course. "Oh no you don't! The party's over here!" Kuina declared with a mischievous grin as she steered Hina toward one of the large booths in the VIP section.
Hina couldn't help but laugh as she was dragged along. When they finally reached the booth, she immediately recognized Yuto, Ann, Yume, and Hiroshi already seated, drinks in hand and wide smiles on their faces.
"Hey~," Hina greeted them, her voice light and sweet. She gave them all a shy smile, the warmth of their gaze making her a bit self-conscious. She could feel their eyes on her, taking in her outfit and appearance.
"You look gorgeous," Ann commented with a sly smirk, her eyes sparkling as she sent Hina a cheeky wink.
Hina blushed, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. "Thank you," she replied, her voice soft, though the compliment made her feel good.
Kuina didn't miss a beat. "Now, I'm gonna go rob the bar of its liquor. I'll be back." With a determined stride, she made her way to the bartender, cupping her hands to shout over the music into his ear. Hina watched her go, amused by her friend's audacity.
The bartender glanced at the group, his eyes widening slightly as Kuina rattled off her requests, gesturing to the various bottles of liquor on display behind him. Without much hesitation, he began pulling down bottles, handing Kuina an array of potent alcohols. He even helped her bring them to the table, loading it up with regular and shot glasses.
"Thanks, handsome," Kuina chirped as she started pouring out drinks for everyone. Hina tentatively took a sip of the concoction placed in front of her, immediately regretting it as the liquid burned its way down her throat.
"Jesus fuck, Kuina, are you trying to kill us?" Hina coughed, her eyes watering as she fought to get the burning sensation under control.
"Maybe," Kuina teased with a wink, effortlessly downing her own glass without so much as a wince. Her smile was wicked, clearly enjoying the chaos she was about to unleash on the night.
The booth, a cozy, rounded seat tucked away in the VIP section, offered a surprising level of privacy. They could pull the curtain closed if they wanted to, blocking out the rest of the club. Kuina was at one end, with Yume beside her, followed by Yuto, Hina, Ann, and Hiroshi rounding out the other side. They all settled into their spots, laughter and the soft clinking of glasses beginning to fill the air.
