Shinichi, who is wearing a black hat and mask due to the threat of the black organization, is currently running hurriedly towards his school. He had already texted Ran that he got a call from Megure-Keibu about a murder case and as usual, he gladly helps to distract himself from 'something' or rather 'someone'.

But unfortunately, he can't just solve cases 24/7. If he wants to graduate, he has to reduce his absences and tardiness more than he already has.

When he arrives in his classroom exhausted, Jodie-sensei asks worriedly if he's okay. He replies positively with a forced smile and apologizes for being late again. He also thanks her for her concern. After all, Shinichi is their key to bringing down the organization; he can't afford to be sick.

Jodie-sensei then orders Shinichi to take his seat and he just nods and obeys. There, he sees a boy who looks so much like him, except for his hairstyle, eye color which is indigo, and the height the boy is clearly taller that him or shinichi is shorter than normal, because of the antidote his height stays the same like when he first drank the aptx4869 in short he didn't grew at all.

"You must be the transfer student. My name is Kudo Shinichi. Nice to meet you," Shinichi says as he takes his seat.

"Huh... Ah, I'm Kuroba Kaito, magician extraordinaire. Nice to meet you," the boy named Kuroba introduces himself and gives Shinichi a blue rose that appears out of nowhere.

'Ah, he's a magician...like him,' Shinichi thinks as he smiles sadly. He takes the rose and stares at it for who knows how long before sniffing it. 'It smells great,' he decides to put it behind his ears. He doesn't know why; he just feels like he should.

"Please, just call me Kaito," he says, and Shinichi nods.

'His eyes are like his...' Shinichi thinks as he looks at Kaito.

"Alright, Then just call me Shinichi," he says, and Kaito smiles. Shinichi tries to smile back so he doesn't seem rude, then begins to listen to the teacher's discussion. But his mind isn't focusing on the class, but rather a certain magician thief he hasn't met for months.

'Why am I even thinking about him now...is it because of the transfer student eyes look like his? And he's a magician too, that he reminds me of him?'

Since the night he confessed, Shinichi, currently Conan, has locked himself in his old mansion and worked on solving cases he got from the FBI until he passed out.
