Another day in school, and it's been a week since Kaito transferred to Teitan High. It has also been a week after what happen on the train. After Kaito got home, he stayed up all night researching about Kudo Shinichi. To his surprise, he discovered that Shinichi is not just an ordinary detective, but a famous one. Shinichi is the son of Kudo Yusaku, the famous mystery novel writer, and Kudo Yukiko, the famous actress. Kaito recalls that his father had mentioned Kudo Yukiko as one of his former students, as he had met her several times before.

Both of shinichi's parents are currently in los Angeles leaving their one and only 14 year old child/son in japan. this sadden kaito he knows what it feels when your parents are not around after all his father died and his mother is always traveling so he is mostly alone but he have the nakamori's. so he wonder 'does shinichi have someone who is with him when he's alone and lonely? how could they even leave their 14 year old son alone here in japan?'

as kaito continued his research, Still frowning about what he just read about shinichi's parents, Kaito saw several interesting facts about Shinichi. Shinichi is known as the "Great Detective of the East," the "The Police Savior," and "Heisei Holmes." However, while he is researching, Kaito saw an article about Shinichi's sudden disappearance almost a year ago. It was reported that Shinichi never seen again after his last case at the amusement park, and some people even believed that he had died.

But what surprised Kaito even more were the hateful comments he found from some people. They said things like,

'its a good thing if he died dont you think i mean wherever he goes there a murder happening'

'yeah i heared that he brings bad luck'

'some people even say he is cursed'

'i mean thats not wrong he always attract death its terrifying is he even a human'

Reading these comments saddened Kaito, he touch the same shoulder that shinichi lean on earlier at the train, he still remember those dark circles under his eyes, and the cause is definitely the cases he just solve. and so the person who got killed can rest in peace and have justice.

he couldn't help but wonder if Shinichi had seen this too. 'How could Shinichi bear hearing and reading such hurtful things when all he wanted to do was help and save people?' Kaito thought about someone he knew who also attracted trouble and was considered cursed by some people.

Kaitou Kid and Conan were sitting on the rooftop, enjoying the view. It was a rare moment of peace that Kid wouldn't have thought that he will have with his tantei, i mean he usually faced Conan who is shouting on he would send him to jail, and then kick his hellish soccer ball towards him during his heists. But today, Conan seemed different and appeared sad. Kid wondered if Conan didn't like his heist today and was about to ask when Conan spoke first.

"Hey, Kid," Conan said, looking down at the people below them.

"Yes, is there something wrong? You're acting really different today," Kid asked, concerned about Conan's unusual behavior. But what Conan said next shocked him.

"Do you... do you think I'm cursed?" Conan asked, his gaze fixed on the night sky.

"Of course not! Why would you think that? Who even told you that?!" Kid responded defensively, he never think the idea that his favorite detective could be cursed.

"I mean, wherever I go, trouble and murder cases always occur. unlike you who have ladyluck at your side, im on the other hand well ..how should i put it....you can say that i have shinigami following me, I'm the perfect example of bad luck, not that i believe that curses are real i dont want to believe it to be honest but...my luck on stumbling into murder says otherwise" Conan said with a sad smile.
