A few minutes later, Shinichi returned inside the cafe and found Kaito engaged in conversation with Akai and Amuro. Kaito who noticed Shinichi's arrival greeted him with a smile or more like grinned at shinichi while waving his hand.
"Hey! Done with the call?" Kaito asked. Shinichi nodded, taking a seat infront from him.
"Yeah, Megure-keibu just ask me if i can do the report about the case i solve earlier and wanted me to bring the case report to the police station tomorrow morning. Nothing much really" Shinichi said, taking a sip of his black coffee, which had grown a bit cold since it was serve in thier table from quite a while
"Don't overwork yourself," Akai/Subaru said, patting the detective's head. As both amuro and Kaito nodded in agreement at akai statement.
"Well, we need to take care of the other customers, so we'll leave you two. Don't rush and enjoy your food, alright?" Amuro said, heading towards other costumers to take their orders. The two look-alikes nodded and waved goodbye.
"So, what were you guys discussing about while I was outside?" Shinichi asked once the couple left to take the orders of the other costumers
"Oh, nothing really. We were just discussing how delicious the food and drinks are here," Kaito lied. He felt it was best not to tell Shinichi about their earlier conversation it wasnt necessary in the first place. Shinichi looked at him skeptically but decided to let it slide, much to Kaito's relief.
They spent the rest of their time chatting about various things, mostly about Shinichi's cases that he solve and things about theirself. They continued talking happily laughing from some times until it was time to head home.
The AKAM couple bid them farewell. As they were about to leave, Amuro,who is carrying three boxes, stopped them.
"Here, take this, Shinichi. Give the other box to Professor and Ai-san. You too, Kuroba-kun," Amuro said, handing Shinichi two boxes of lemon pie and Kaito one box of chocolate cake.
"This is too much! You even let us eat for free earlier, and now you giving me this is a bit..." Kaito tried to protest about the cake, but the couple insisted and said the it was fine. In the end, Kaito eventually gave up and finally took the cake.
"Take care, be careful on your way home, You two," Akai/Subaru said.
"You both take care too," Shinichi replied, waving at the couple before walking away with Kaito following close behind.
Kaito stop walking and shouted at the couple as they walk,"And thanks for the free meal and this cake too!! Its really delicious!!"kaito shouted waving at the couple one last time.
Shinichi who also stop walking when he heared kaito shout chuckled in response before he start walking again. Kaito then continue to follow Shinichi, holding the cake and groceries he had bought earlier. Carefully to make sure he wont ruin the cake.
"Shinichi sure found a kind and interesting friend, huh?" Amuro stated, and Akai nodded. The two went back inside the cafe with smiles.

The two walked back home, still chatting about stuffs, until it was eventually time for them to part ways.
"Well, this is my way," Kaito said, a little disappointed as he prepared to bid shinichi goodbye. He wanted to talk to Shinichi more loner, and, though he might not admit it, he felt kinda lonely in his apartment.
Shinichi just nodded, and Kaito smiled. 'It seems Shinichi is still shy?' Kaito thought. But the real reason was that Shinichi simply didn't know what to say.
