It was a chilly yet beautiful and lovely night, we can see the beautiful full moon that is surrounded by beautiful glistening stars in the museum owned by a member of the Suzuki family. There stood Hakuba Saguru with Inspector Nakamori.
The museum was currently surrounded by a bunch of police officers and task force members, as well as fans, because unfortunately for the police, their troblesome yet "handsome" and "gentleman" phantom thief, Kaitou Kid, was making an appearance after a long time without announcing any heists.
So now, Hakuba was beside the inspector in the room where the jewel that the phantom thief was said to steal was displayed. He had been suddenly called by the inspector and the owner of the museum, Jirokichi Suzuki, to inform him that the phantom thief Kaitou Kid had announced a new heist after a long absence. Hakuba after hearing this, immediately made his way to the museum.
You couldn't blame him; ever since Kuroba Kaito (Aka the person he suspected to be the phantom thief-though he might be right but he didn't have the right evidence) had moved suddenly... somewhere... he had also stopped announcing heists.
'I wonder what happened,'Hakuba thought as he looked at the jewel that the phantom thief was going to steal.

he jewel's name was Cherry Heart. It was a heart-shaped jewel that changed color depending on the temperature of its surroundings.
If the temperature was high (40°C or above), its color was a bloody red; if it was low (30°C or below), the color would be cherry pink; and if it was balanced (between 30-40°C), the color would be pinkish red like a cherry.
Currently, the temperature was 31°C, so the color was a beautiful pinkish red, especially with the cherry blossom trees surrounding the jewel. That neither Hakuba, the inspector, nor anyone from the police task force knew how the hell they managed to put the trees inside this room (the room was on the third floor), but they didn't bother to ask how-rich people surely had their ways.
(By the way, this was a party; it was supposed to be a gathering to see and enjoy the beauty of the jewel, so there were many people inside the room.)
As Hakuba examined the jewel, he couldn't help but think about why the phantom thief hadn't sent an announcement of a heist for such a long time and why would he had to moved. No one knew the reason; even Aoko, who was Kaito's childhood friend, didn't know when he asked her.
