It was a cloudy yet beautiful afternoon at the apartment of our favorite magician. Kaito was clearly dressing up to go somewhere while talking to someone on the phone, looking annoyed.

"Like I said for the past few minutes, I won't tell you," Kaito stated to his mom on the phone, annoyed. The phone was between his cheek and shoulder as he buttoned up his shirt.

"You better tell me! You suddenly moved to Beika, and if it wasn't for Aoko-chan who told me, I wouldn't know! It's already been more than a week since you moved, right? And you didn't inform your mother?! You didn't even bring Jii-chan along with you!" his mother shouted. Kaito sighed, put the phone on loudspeaker, and placed it on the table before brushing his hair and putting on a hoodie.

"I didn't bring Jii-chan along because no one is going to take care of the house, and my KID attire and gadgets are still there. Excuse me; I'll be going to the grocery store since I ran out of food. If you don't want me to starve tonight, stop asking me questions already. Bye, talk to you later." "Wai–!" Without giving his mother a chance to say anything else, Kaito ended the call with a sigh.

His mother suddenly called, demanding to know the reason he moved. Well, he couldn't say the real reason: 'The reason I moved is because I'm finding the child I'm in love with, who is currently 10 years younger than me. The child confessed to me, and I realized I love him too, so I'm finding him right now.' No, definitely not.

As Kaito grabbed his wallet and put it in his pocket, about to leave, he saw the same small box he received from his "tantei-kun" together with the letter from that night. He opened the box, revealing the jewel named Pandora. He hadn't destroyed it yet; it was a gift from his "tantei-kun," after all and he hadn't stopped being Kid either. He hadn't done any heists for who knows how many weeks.

With a sigh, he closed the box and put it in the drawer as he left his apartment, not forgetting to lock the door. As he walked to the grocery store since it was close, he thought about planning a heist this week. It had been a while, and those men in black might get suspicious if he suddenly stopped. He had been busy finding his "tantei-kun" and had forgotten about those men in black and his heists.

A few minutes later, he arrived at the grocery store and took his time choosing which food to buy, not forgetting his favorite sweets and chocolate. After paying for all the things he bought, he was about to leave when he noticed a familiar figure, even though he wore a hat. He could still recognize him.

"Shinichi!" Kaito shouted, and the person he called out flinched and turned around, looking surprised to see Kaito.

"Kaito?" Shinichi didn't bother to ask what Kaito was doing there; just a look at Kaito's hand, and he already knew he was there because he bought groceries. "I guess you're buying groceries today."

"Yeah, I ran out of food in my apartment, and it seems you have the same reason," Kaito stated as he looked at Shinichi's hand holding a smaller plastic bag.

"Not really. I'm on my way home after solving a case nearby. Then my neighbor suddenly called and asked me to buy her some tea and ingredients for tonight's dinner. Since I also ran out of coffee in my house, I decided to go," Shinichi explained as he checked the plastic bag to ensure he didn't forget anything, especially his coffee. Kaito sweatdropped, understanding that if it wasn't for the coffee, Shinichi wouldn't be here.

Well, Kaito wasn't wrong. After Shinichi solved a murder case and made sure to inform the inspector not to say anything about him solving and helping them today, especially to the media, he was about to go home when Haibara suddenly called him to buy her some tea and ingredients for today's dinner. Well, he didn't want to, but he remembered that he also ran out of coffee, so he was forced to go anyway.
