Chapter 11

Jason made it back home and he had a little bag with the leftover pizza, which he and Nico weren't able to finish, in a small box.

Jason thought it'd be nice to bring back the leftovers for Leo, especially since he figured Leo hadn't ate since he didn't have time to eat when he attempted to go home after being at his apprenticeship.

Once Jason unlocked the door, he entered and shut the door behind him, locking it and setting aside his apartment keys into this little bowl that was by the front.
"Leo! I'm back!" Jason called.
Jason slipped off his shoes and he set the bag onto the ground so that he could slip his jacket off too.

"Hey."
Jason looked over to see Leo exiting the bathroom, ruffling his wet hair with a towel.
"Oh, hey." Jason smiled, hanging his jacket up quickly and setting his shoes aside neatly.
"There was some leftover pizza, you want some?"
Leo wrapped the towel around his neck and he watched as Jason lifted up the bag.
"... Sure." Leo nodded.

"Alright, head to the living room. I'll heat up the slices and put them on a plate for you." Jason smiled at Leo.
"You want a drink?"
"Uh, what do you have?" Leo asked as Jason began to walk off, heading towards the kitchen.
Leo followed behind Jason.
"... Honestly, don't know. You can see what I have and pick out whatever." Jason said, glancing at Leo.

"... You got beer-?"
"We're not drinking alcohol, Valdez."
"Awh man..."

Fortunately for Leo, Jason had only one last beer in his fridge, and since Leo wasn't a light-weight, Jason decided to give into Leo's pleas and gave him the can of beer.

Now they were sat in the living room. Jason had a can of coke and Leo was eating the heated leftover pizza slices and taking sips of the nice cool beer every now and then.

"So... what did Nico want?" Leo asked, looking at Jason.
"Apparently Nico had a boyfriend years ago, lost contact with him, and they share an art class now." Jason said, looking at Leo.
"This ex-boyfriend thought Nico ghosted him, so he's not really speaking to Nico right now. But Nico and I have made up a plan for him to try to talk to this ex at least."
Leo hummed.

"Mmh, do you know this guy?" Leo asked.
"Never met him. I think Hazel shares a music lesson with him?" Jason shrugged.
"But... my god, Nico still wears this necklace he gave him, and the dude still wears the ring Nico gave him."
Leo smiled.

"That's cute." Leo said, leaning over towards the coffee table and setting down the plate with a pizza slice before picking up his can of beer.
"Yeah... I think things will work out between them. They just need to talk." Jason sighed out.

Jason leaned back onto the couch and Leo watched as Jason sunk down.
"How are you holding up anyway?" Jason asked.
"I mean... it's only been over an hour but... you feeling any better?"
Jason tilted his head at Leo.
Leo sighed out as he set his can of beer down onto the coffee table before leaning back and shuffling closer to Jason.

"The shower helped." Leo shrugged.
"I feel... refreshed, I guess? And I had time to think about my relationship with Calypso..."
"Mmh? Wanna talk about what you thought about or...?" Jason questioned.
Leo leaned his body weight against Jason and Jason was a little surprised, but he wrapped his arm around Leo's shoulder. Leo rested his head on Jason's shoulder.

"I'd rather not. I'm... just tired." Leo said, looking up at Jason.
"You don't mind if I rest on you, right?"
"Of course not." Jason said softly, rubbing Leo's shoulder gently.
"I'm happy to help in any way I can, Leo."
Leo hummed and he snuggled closer to Jason.
"Thanks, Jase... you're the best." Leo mumbled, shutting his eyes.

Jason looked at Leo who seemed to drift to sleep quickly. Jason bit his lower lip and he dug into his pocket for his phone with his free hand. He was ensuring that his movements wouldn't disturb Leo.

Jason tapped on his phone and he went onto his messages with Piper. He quickly typed out a message.

Jase:
Calypso broke up and kicked Leo out earlier. He's literally asleep on my shoulder rn, and God... I wish I could make a move on him Pipes, but he needs to heal from what happened with Calypso. He's both frustrated and sad about it and idk what to do

Pipes:
WHAT!! CALYPSO DID WHAT??

Pipes:
I'M MURDERING TAHT BITCH

Pipes:
But awh, Leo fell asleep on you? That's cute, he feels safe around you 🥰😊

Jase:
The switch up is crazzyy-

Pipes:
Shuddup

Pipes:
Seriously, I hope he's okay. Is he going to stay with you for a bit then??

Jase:
Yeah, I'm happy to let him stay for as long as he needs. I may have to put him in the bed soon so that he doesn't sleep in such an uncomfortable position for too long

Pipes:
Awh, you're so sweet xx

Pipes:
Hey, how about you, Leo, me and Shel go out tomorrow? Cheer Leo up and when Shel is talking to Leo then I can give you a little advice in person with what you should do next, sound good?

Jase:
I'll check with Leo when he's awake if he's up for it, but I'm down for it xx

Pipes:
Awesome, well have fun cuddling and taking care of Leo for both of us, I'll send him a lot of love tomorrow whether we hang out or not xx

Jase:
... Not cuddling, but thanks. You have fun cuddling with your girlfriend and coming up with ways to be a bitch to Calypso x

Pipes:
You know me so well 😘

Jason smiled at Piper's last message and he placed his phone aside onto the armrest of the couch. Jason looked at Leo who was still sleeping, a little bit of drool appearing at the corner of his mouth.

Jason sighed out softly and he brought his lips to the top of Leo's head, placing a gentle kiss on his head.
"You deserve better, Leo." Jason whispered softly.
"You deserve the whole world."
Jason rubbed Leo's shoulder in a circular motion. Thankfully Leo didn't wake up, he stirred a little but he stayed asleep.

Jason then began to think to himself how he would carry Leo to his bed in the current position that they were in at the moment.

Leo heard the bedroom door shut and he let out a deep breath as he opened his eyes and his cheeks turned red. Jason had just placed him in the bed, he had tucked Leo in as well, and was giving him space now.

Leo was asleep, he was also just aware of his surroundings when he was sleeping on Jason's shoulder. So, Leo still felt the sensation of the kiss Jason placed on his head, and he heard those sweet, kind words Jason had whispered under his breath.

Leo's heart was a mess. Leo, in general, was a mess.

Leo didn't know what to do. He knew Jason would never force anything upon him, and that he'd do anything for Leo.

But Leo still had feelings for Calypso. More feelings of frustration than love now, but Leo did still have a tiny amount of love towards Calypso.

Leo needed to figure a few things out. But for now, he was just going to rest after such a long day.
