Chapter 16

Leo's head was resting on Jason's shoulder as Jason was typing up some stuff for an assignment for one of his classes.
"This is boring." Leo stated.
"This is important." Jason said, glancing at Leo.

Leo looked up at Jason and Jason smiled at him.
"I'll be done in a few moments." Jason said softly.
"Then we can do something together."
"Like make dinner together?" Leo suggested, smiling at Jason.
"If you want." Jason smiled back at Leo.

There was a knock on the front door and Leo furrowed his eyebrows.
"It might be Nico." Jason said, noticing Leo's look of confusion.
"Could you get it? Let him in and tell him to wait on me?"
Leo sighed as he lifted his head from Jason's shoulder and shuffled over to the edge of the bed and getting up.
"Fine~" Leo sighed out.
"Thank youu~!" Jason called after Leo as Leo left the bedroom, gently shutting the door behind him.

Leo made his way to the front door and he unlocked it, opening it up and seeing that it was in fact Nico at the door. Nico seemed to be surprised as he saw it was Leo who opened the door.
"You're still here?" Nico questioned.
Leo began to frown, making a face.

Leo then stepped aside, "Jason is just finishing up his assignment."
Nico stepped in and Leo shut the door once Nico was inside.
Nico began to take off his shoes, "Seriously though, why are you still here?"
Leo sighed and he locked the door.
"I'd be living on the streets if I wasn't staying here temporarily with Jason." Leo answered.

Leo then noticed that Nico was looking at him up and down and Leo glanced at his outfit. Leo blinked as he realised Nico was probably looking at the sweater he was wearing. The sweater which was Jason's.

Leo looked at Nico who raised an eyebrow at him.
"Right... and you and Jason are...?" Nico questioned.
Leo felt the heat rush to his cheeks.
"Uhm, go wait in the living room! I'll tell Jason you're here for him!" Leo exclaimed, instantly turning away and walking off.
Leo heard Nico sigh out as he went over to the bedroom and entered the room, gently shutting the door behind him.

Jason looked up at Leo and noticed the blush on his cheeks.
"Nico?" Jason questioned.
"He noticed I was wearing your sweater." Leo smiled at Jason.
"He's in the living room, I told him you'd just be finishing up your assignment."
Jason hummed, nodding.

Leo went over towards Jason on the bed and sat down next to him.
"He won't be here long, will he?" Leo asked.
"He probably just wants to talk to me about how things turned out with that guy he likes." Jason answered.
"It'll probably be just like 10-20 minutes?"
Leo hummed, nodding.

"Do you still not really like Nico?" Jason questioned.
"Well... he doesn't really seem to like me, so I dunno." Leo shrugged.
"Plus being with you helps me from doing something stupid."
"Even when you are with me, you do stupid stuff." Jason smiled at Leo.
"And I mean that in a loving way, Leo."
"Aren't you just a sweetheart?" Leo mumbled.
Jason smiled and he ruffled Leo's hair.

"Okay, I'll be back once Nico and I have talked." Jason said, setting his laptop aside and shutting it.
Jason got up from his bed and looked at Leo.
"Just... if you need me, you can just come into the living room and sit with us. I'll make sure Nico doesn't say anything about it."

"Eh, I think I'll be fine. Go, gossip with your cousin about boys." Leo smiled.
Jason rolled his eyes but he still smiled. Jason made his way out of the room and once he exited, he shut the door behind him.

Leo grabbed his phone from the bedside drawer and he saw another notification from Calypso. Another message.

Leo hadn't replied to her previous message because he didn't know what to say. He hasn't mentioned that Calypso messaged him to Jason, or Piper, or Shel. He didn't know why, maybe he just didn't want them to make it a big deal.

Leo sighed as he clicked onto the new message and read it to himself.

Calypso:
I can see that you read my message, you know that, right? Leo, I really just want to talk. 10-20 minutes, my place. I'm really sorry for how suddenly I ended things. Please? I want to see you again xx

Leo bit his lower lip and he groaned to himself.

He hated his brain. He truly did, but he began to type a message back to Calypso.

Leo:
I've just been taking some time to think about talking with you. I can meet up with you next week if you're really that desperate to talk with me.

Calypso:
Omg, really?? Okay! What day are you available?? xx

Leo:
Saturday. 1pm. No more than 20 minutes.

Calypso:
Okay, I'll keep that in mind. Thank you, Leo!!!

Leo instantly shut his phone and he set it facing down. Leo tapped his fingers against the bed as he stared down at the sheets.

This was probably a huge mistake.

But... Leo needed some sort of closure. And he had to make sure that if he and Jason were to become a thing, he would be completely over Calyspo. That he wouldn't be using Jason as a rebound.
