"It's frustrating!"

Jason leaned back, flopping onto the couch. Jason looked over at Piper and Shel. Shel's arm was around Piper and Piper was leaning against her girlfriend.

"Well, what can you do?" Piper shrugged at Jason.
"Leo and Calypso have been together... for a while now. And if Leo's happy then-"
"That's the problem, he's not happy!" Jason exclaimed.
"Did he tell you he was unhappy?" Shel cut Jason off, tilting her head at Jason.

Jason looked at Shel and he bit his inner cheek.
"Not directly... but, you should've seen his face...and he was tapping his fingers against the table, he was tapping in morse code." Jason looked to Piper as he mentioned the morse code.
Piper frowned slightly.
"Jason... I mean, I don't like Calypso either, but... Leo can make his own choices. He's an adult." Piper said.

Jason sighed out and he sunk into the couch even more.
"... Sorry for barging over like this." Jason mumbled.
"I mean, I must've interrupted your private time together and-"
"Gosh, Jason, we love having you here." Shel said, smiling at Jason.

"Even though every time you come over by yourself, you complain about Leo and his relationship with Calypso, and how single you are and-" Piper began to ramble.
Jason grabbed a pillow, which was next to him, and he chucked it at Piper. Piper let out a laugh as the pillow hit her in her chest. Jason smiled slightly and he rolled his eyes.

"... Sorry." Jason said, looking at Piper.
"I know it must be annoying."
"Eh, don't worry." Piper waved her hand in dismissal.
"You're my best friend, Jase. I'm happy to listen to you complain. And plus, I'm always usually in Shel's arms so it's not as if it's so bad-"
"Ugh, make me feel even more single, why don't you?" Jason rolled his eyes.

Piper picked up the pillow that Jason threw at her and threw it at him this time. Jason yelped and he laughed as he blocked the pillow with his hands.
The pillow fell down onto the ground and Jason sat back up.

"Seriously, should I do something?" Jason asked, looking at Piper and Shel.
Piper and Shel glanced at each other before looking at Jason.
"I think...you just need to be there for him if he needs you." Piper said, smiling softly at Jason.
"Leo... he doesn't open up easily, I know him. And he'll... he'll make himself suffer until he gets to that breaking point where he realises he needs someone there and... I know that he'll probably go to you."

Jason looked at Piper.
"... Until he gets to a breaking point? That's not... that's not exactly ideal-" Jason began.
"That's how Leo is." Piper shrugged.
"Even though you are right, it is sort of unhealthy." Shel said, looking at Jason.
Jason sighed.
"... Fine. Okay. I'll just be there for him when he needs me." Jason said, leaning back.

Piper frowned slightly and she sighed out as she sat up.
"Alright, wanna have a pity party and eat ice cream? Watch some sad sappy movies?" Piper asked, looking at Jason.
"Ah, no... I'll have a pity party on my own." Jason waved his hand in dismissal as he got up from the couch.

"I'll leave you two alone. Let someone be happy at least."
"Oh, I'll walk you out."
Piper got up and she patted Jason's back as Jason walked on ahead.
Piper glanced at Shel and smiled at her.
"I'll be back in a moment."

Piper and Jason were at the front door of Piper and Shel's apartment. Piper leaned against the door frame as Jason had stepped out.

"Thanks... for listening to me." Jason said, bringing his hand up to his neck and rubbing it nervously.
Piper gave Jason a small smile.
"Your hair is getting longer." Piper said, stepping forward and reaching her hand out, fiddling with the ends of Jason's hair.
Jason blinked at Piper.
"Oh, I've been meaning to get it cut-" Jason began.

"Try growing it out." Piper looked up at Jason, smiling at him.
"I think you'd look nice."
Piper reached her hand up and ruffled Jason's hair. Jason smiled as he gently pushed Piper's hand away.
"I guess I could always cut it if I don't like it." Jason said.
"That's my boy." Piper smiled, crossing her arms.

"Alright, I'm gonna get going now." Jason said, stuffing his hands into his pockets.
"Okay... well, hey, tomorrow you can join me and Shel at lunch. If you don't wanna third wheel Calypso and Leo." Piper said.
"... Either way I'll be third-wheeling, but... thanks Pipes." Jason smiled at Piper.

"See you tomorrow."
"Bye Jase. And... be patient."
Jason bit his inner cheek and he turned away, heading towards the staircase and going down the stairs.

'Be patient'.
Jason didn't like those two words. All he has ever been was patient. And he wanted to be angry at the fact that patience got him nowhere, but Jason had never done anything to get anywhere further.

... So, Jason was just going to be patient, as much as he hated waiting.
