America Headcanons

This is a shortened version of my actual headcanons on him! And I might add my more in-depth ones somewhere here... if people want to read them.

Alright y'all, starting strong with the man himself, America

1. Human name: Micah D.C/Micah Taylor

2. Just putting this out there that I follow the HC of having country's human last names as their capitals, so I'll put a regular human name and then their other human name for these

3. He was the only biological(? I don't really have a canon for his childhood-) child of Britain, before Britain married France and had Canada, and adopted NZ and Aussie. He was/is also very close to most of the other (former) British colonies, ex. India, Tuvalu, Fiji.

4. He has eagle wings! They are a little small according to countryhuman wing standards, but he has them nevertheless. He's actually decently fast--he beats out Weimar, HRE, A-H Moldova, and Romania in terms of speed. He's equal with Mexico, K.O.S., Indonesia (almost. Indo is faster by a bit.), and T.R. Russian Empire, K.O.H, PLC, Teutonic Order, Prussia, and GE all beat him in terms of speed.

5. He owns a pet eagle of course. He named it Alfred, after his Hetalia counterpart. Full name Alfred F. Jones, ofc- sometimes, he'll just call his eagle Alfy or Jones as a nickname.

6. He is one of the few countries who has what I like to call, "main character eyes," with red and/or blue eyes, and star-shaped pupils which are also red and/or blue depending on the color of the iris

7. He has either blonde hair or colored red/blue/white hair, leaning more towards blonde though. He probably frequently dyes his hair and is a 'dye my hair whenever I am going through a distressing moment in life' person

8. He is about 6'2, or around 187.96 cm

9. In my hc, CHs are often taller than regular humans, and above 6'0 (182.88 cm) is average for them, whereas anything in the 5'0 - 5'11 range (152.4 cm to 180.34 cm) is under average

10. Ame's human form has blue eyes, sandy blonde hair, a scar on his cheek from the Revolutionary War, and a scar across his nose from the Civil War. 

11. He dresses in like a punk or idk, a 'streetwear' style, usually wearing his signature (army green) bomber jacket, a black oversized top/sweater, silver necklaces and/or dog tags, sometimes has headphones around his neck, jeans/cargo pants, sneakers/combat boots, fingerless gloves, and of course his sunglasses no matter the weather

12. He is actually very responsible, but only when he wants to be... he took it upon himself to care for his states as children when he could have just left them to be taken care of by their governments. 

13. He can be described as obnoxious and arrogant, and he also runs his mouth a lot. He doesn't know when to stop talking, which usually puts him into some pretty bad situations... Canada or Germany usually have to shut him up physically.

14. He's a hard worker and usually will get hyper-fixated on something (work) for so long that one of his states has to drag him away. He usually doesn't realize he's gotten fixated on something, and is kind of just vibing to music in his headphones and zoning out while working

15. He's very chatty and outgoing, during UN meetings he has to be told multiple times to stop talking with other countries because he's being disruptive. His mouth moves faster than his mind, and he regrets what he says a lot of times. Thank goodness he has the confidence to immediately apologize.

16. In his free time, he really likes visiting specifically New York. He'll usually go with another country and get food, then go to a club, watch a sports game, or just walk around and go shopping. He has met APH/CH cosplayers before, and gets super excited when he sees specifically America cosplayers, and begins to go on long tangents about how much he likes it. He only goes if he's finished with all his work though- 

17. He has a good relationship with his siblings, he has the best relationship with Canada. Canada is constantly saving his ass and Ame tries to be the best brother because he's thankful for Canada putting up with his shit- he is a little scared of Aussie though, and he treats New Zealand as a child sometimes- she sometimes has to remind him, "Ame. I am an adult." and then he apologizes.

18. He is not an outside/nature person. He's always scared of wild animals, or ticks, or anything remotely dangerous that could possibly harm him while going on a simple hike- this is why he has Canada and Aussie as siblings

19. America is a theater and band kid, he plays the drums and saxophone. He likes the drums more, and only picked up sax so he could play 'Careless Whisper.'

20. His second favorite country to visit in his free time is Japan, specifically Tokyo. He likes the busy and kind of wild atmosphere, which is also why New York is his favorite city to visit. Japan usually accompanies him to make sure he's following the customs, and also just as a friend

21. He and Russia are definitely like on the verge of killing each other, where both will make stupid jokes towards each other to piss the other off, which then ends in a fight, or if the rest of the world is lucky, NATO or UN will stop it before it escalates- 

22. Ame and China both hate each other, but China is trying to be nicer to the USA (because their economy is crumbling)

23. His favorite season is either spring or summer. Probably summer tbh. He likes beaches and swimming and tanning :3

24. He likes having debates with other people and especially likes it if he's winning. He one time tried to have a debate with one of his states, and said state (probably NY) just kept responding with "Nuh uh" so he gave up

25. When he used to be Thirteen Colonies, he was very close with the Russian Empire, and even when he became a country they were still close. He's always had some sort of a relationship with each Russian family member, good or bad. RE and him were good friends, Sov and him were kind of frenemies, but they both mutually respected the other, and Rus + him is just... not good

26. He can speak only English and French fluently and knows the basics of some other languages, those being Russian, Tagalog, Spanish, and German. Phil is trying to teach him more Tagalog, but he kind of accidentally mixes in French/English grammar with the other languages ((multi/bilingual struggles

27. He's messy, but in an organized way. As in, his room is very messy, but he knows where everything is. If you ask him something about where a certain item of his is, he'll reply with something like "Next to my nightstand, near the bottom left corner"

28. He has terrible intuition and will misjudge a person so badly. Especially with humans before. Sometimes he's right- but still, don't rely on him to have good intuition.

29. He's also really bad at cooking. He can only make like salads. Or casseroles. One time, at least 3 countries got food poisoning from a casserole with chicken in it because he kind of didn't cook it all the way through- UN just has him bring drinks for parties instead of food, bc for some reason, he can make good drinks. 

30. Ame is a questioning aromantic

31. China likes to insult him about his Mandarin pronunciation because he can't get the tones right. He one time called France a horse on accident when trying to call her mom in Mandarin (to practice). Thank goodness France doesn't understand Mandarin-

32. He plays American football, basketball, and baseball, throughout the seasons. Football in the fall, basketball in the winter, and baseball in the spring

33. America has multiple pairs of sunglasses, and each one is from different people, as well as customized so he can tell them apart. For example, his states got him a pair, and his family got him a different pair that has their flags on it. He wears them interchangeably throughout the year
