Alexandra's birthday

Piper awoke slowly, wrapped in warm blankets. The smell of coffee led her to the kitchen, where she found Alex making coffee. the smile that opened on Alex's face as soon as he saw her. Without thinking twice, he stood up and approached her, gently hugging her from behind. His lips settled on Alex's warm skin as he whispered, "Happy birthday, my love."

Calmly, the two women prepared for their last check-up, They closed the door behind them and went down the stairs to the car. Alex started and, after ten minutes of travel, they arrived at their destination.

As soon as he got out of the car, Alex accompanied Piper to the clinic. They sat waiting, and shortly afterwards a doctor called her name: "Piper Chapman." With a nod, Piper stood up to follow him. The doctor made room for her in his study and Alex started to help her settle on the bed.

As the doctor began his check, he asked: "Please lift your shirt." Piper performed, feeling her heart beat faster, even though the pain in her ribs had not completely disappeared. But that day was special and she did not want to be influenced. When the visit ended, the two women left the clinic.

Piper, with a glance, stood in the driver's seat and blindfolded Alex, laughing as he explained that what followed would be a surprise. When they finally arrived, Piper opened the door for Alex and drove her to the gate of their new home. With a dramatic gesture, he took off the bandage and the expression on Alex's face was priceless.

With the keys in her hand, Piper opened the door, revealing the welcome of their new home. But the surprise was even greater, because friends and family gathered in the garden and shouted: "Surprise!" A wave of joy swept Alex away, as the beloved faces surrounded her, and the spring sun illuminated the lush green around them.

"Happy birthday, my love," Piper whispered to her as the two of them shook hands. Alex, moved, replied, "It's incredible."

After a moment of deep emotion, Piper remembered she had a gift for Alex. He took out a small box and handed it to Alex, who started to unload it with curiosity. As Piper's heart was beating fast, she knelt down and pulled out another box, revealing a beautiful ring. " Alex Pearl Vause," she said, her voice trembling with emotion, "will you marry me?"

Alex's expression shone brightly as never before, and with a smile that held promise, he replied: "Yes, Piper Elizabeth Chapman, I will marry you." With a spontaneous gesture, Alex held her in his arms, wrapping his legs around his waist, as the cheers and cheers of the guests filled the garden.

The party continued, with dancing, laughter and moments of intense happiness, wrapped in the affection of the most loved ones. As the evening fell and the stars dotted the sky, Piper could not help but feel incredibly lucky to have Alex by her side. The party, lit by candles and colorful lights, turned into a dream, a start of wonderful adventures together.

In a moment of calm, Alex took Piper by the hand and led her to a secluded corner of the garden. Sitting on a bench, under the starry sky, Alex smiled. "It was a truly wonderful day."

"It was, thanks to you," said Piper, staring into Alex's green eyes. As she approached, she whispered, "I love you." And so, under that clear sky and surrounded by the affection of their loved ones, they embraced each other, knowing that together they would face every challenge and joy that life reserved for them.
