In the afternoon, the cadets were summoned to the main hangar for a meeting with some members of Station 19. Jane and Andrea could hardly contain their excitement: the team they had heard so much about was there for them, ready to share experience and wisdom.

Maya Bishop, the captain of Station 19, was the first to speak. Tall and confident, she observed the new cadets with a stern but determined gaze. Beside her stood Andy Herrera, Victoria Hughes, Jack Gibson, and Ben Warren, along with Carina DeLuca, who handled the medical aspects of emergencies.

"Welcome to the academy," Maya said. "Becoming a firefighter isn't just a job. It's a mission. It's risky, demanding, but also incredibly rewarding. Our job is to prepare you for everything you'll face out there."

One by one, the team members introduced themselves, sharing personal anecdotes that mixed humor with touching emergency stories. Then it was the cadets' turn to introduce themselves.

When Jane and Andrea stepped forward, Maya looked at them for a few seconds with a puzzled expression.

"You two... you look familiar," she said, studying them closely.

Andy Herrera nodded, trying to connect their faces to her memories. "Wait, aren't you the two girls we rescued years ago during that campfire incident?"

Jane and Andrea exchanged a knowing smile. "Yes, that's us," Andrea replied, a hint of emotion in her voice.

"Of course you are!" Victoria exclaimed, clapping her hands. "I can't believe you're here now, ready to become one of us."

"You've come a long way," Jack added with a warm smile. "And that makes this all the more meaningful."

The team welcomed them warmly, though not without a few lighthearted jokes to break the ice.

"Well, if you think training is going to be easy just because we know you, you're dead wrong," Ben said with a stern smile.

"Quite the opposite," Maya added. "Expect to sweat. A lot."

Jane and Andrea laughed, ready to prove they were up to the challenge.
