Piper and Alexandra, finally together, were experiencing a moment of pure happiness. The idea that one day they would be married filled their hearts with joy, and that long-awaited day had finally arrived. They were walking along the corridors when suddenly, they heard the sound of footsteps coming from a guard. Instinctively, Alex grabbed Piper's hand and pulled her into a room, closing the door with a firm gesture.
Inside, they found Nicky and Lorna waiting for them. Nicky was wearing a gray sweatshirt, with a towel draped over her shoulders, and she stepped forward with a complicit smile, speaking words that would mark that moment. "We are gathered today to celebrate a wedding under this wedding canape inside the walls of this shithole. I don't know how you two managed to find a way to forgive and love each other again, but I feel honored to be able to participate."
Alex, with a serious and sincere expression, took a deep breath. He had prepared promises, words that would capture the essence of their journey together. "It's hard to see what promise I can make to you that doesn't sound like a bunch of catch phrases. So, as I reflect on our journey and what lies ahead, I want to make you a promise that suits us. I want to address an uncomfortable subject--there was a time when I hurt you, and I know I made an unforgivable mistake. The remorse I feel is indescribable, especially toward the person I love most. So my promise is to seek your forgiveness every day, with silent gestures, for the rest of our lives together."
Piper, her voice vibrant with emotion, echoed her promises. "Life is about opportunities, and today I want to ask you to promise me one thing: get out of here. I need you, you are my companion. Please hurry up! Promise me!"
Alex looked at her with eyes filled with affection and a slight laugh. "I will, although it's not a promise. It's more of a request."
The air between them was charged with tension and affection, and Piper, with a small but determined smile, added, "My promise is to wait for you, whatever time it takes."
Nicky, taking advantage of that intimate moment, stepped forward. "Alexandra, put this ring on Piper... Do you, Piper, accept this ring from Luschek's key holder as a token of your undying love for Alexandra?"
"Yes, I do," Piper replied with a boiling heart.
Nicky then turned to Alex, "Do you want to put this ring on your beloved Piper? And will you, Alexandra, accept this paper clip found in a book as a sign of Piper's eternal love?"
"I do," Alex said, his voice firm and clear.
Finally, Nicky, with a mischievous smile and the air of someone who was about to make a grand gesture, exclaimed, "By the power vested in me by a website whose name I cannot remember, I pronounce you married ... in prison."
Laughter and tears of joy filled the room as Piper and Alex embraced each other, knowing that they had found not only love once again, but also the strength to face whatever the future had in store for them.
