The First Step towards Independence

It had been some time since Andrea and Jane started their driving lessons. Every day, they worked hard together, memorizing traffic laws and practicing to handle every possible situation on the road. Every mistake became an opportunity to improve, and their bond seemed to grow stronger.

Alexandra and Piper, patient and encouraging, were always ready to offer advice when needed, never being too pushy. Finally, after months of preparation, the big day arrived: the driving test.

That morning, Andrea and Jane woke up early. Anxiety mixed with excitement as they got ready. Sitting in the kitchen for breakfast, they exchanged a determined glance.

"We've got this," said Andrea, trying to reassure her sister, who looked a bit more nervous.

Jane, after a moment of hesitation, smiled. "I know. We've studied hard and practiced. It can't go wrong."

Their moms watched them fondly. Alexandra stepped forward to hug them. "No matter what happens, you're already amazing. Do your best, but remember: it's okay not to be perfect. We're proud of you."

Piper, with her usual calm demeanor, nodded. "You've worked so hard to get here. Whatever happens, you've already won."

Those words helped the girls relax a little. After finishing breakfast, they left the house, ready to head to the office where the test would take place.

The test wasn't easy, but Andrea and Jane showed everything they had learned. Every turn, brake, and lane change was executed with precision. When the examiner stopped the car and turned to them, their hearts were racing.

"Congratulations, girls," said the examiner with a smile, holding up their licenses. "You've passed the test. Here are your licenses."

The words sounded like music to Andrea and Jane, who hugged each other, bursting with joy. "We did it! We got our licenses!" Andrea shouted.

"I knew we would!" added Jane, her eyes shining with happiness.

After the test, the sisters headed to the parking lot where their shiny new cars awaited them. They couldn't wait to drive home and share the news with their moms.

As soon as they arrived, Andrea called out excitedly, "Mom, we have a surprise for you!"

Alexandra and Piper exchanged curious glances, noticing the mischievous smiles on the girls' faces. "What have you two been up to?" Alexandra asked with an amused smile.

With sparkling eyes, Andrea and Jane held up their licenses. "We passed the test!" Jane exclaimed. "We got our licenses!"

For a moment, Alexandra and Piper were speechless, stunned. Then they broke into laughter and hugged the girls with all the love they could muster.

"We're so proud of you!" Alexandra said, squeezing them tightly. "You've done an amazing job. You're ready for the road!"

"We can't believe this moment has already come," added Piper, visibly moved. "You deserve it—you've worked so hard."

Amid laughter and hugs, Alexandra lifted Jane off the ground while Piper did the same with Andrea, spinning them around in a gesture of pure joy. "We're officially a family of drivers now!" Alexandra exclaimed, laughing.
