The simulation is a critical moment

In the following days, Jane and Andrea fully immersed themselves in training. Between intense physical exercises and emergency simulations, the two sisters faced every challenge with determination.

During a simulated rescue drill, Jane felt more nervous than usual. She knew she had to drag a very heavy dummy through a room filled with obstacles and artificial smoke. Just before starting, she took out her inhaler and handed it to Carina DeLuca, who was monitoring the drill as part of the medical team.

"Can you hold this for me?" Jane asked with a tense smile. "I don't want to carry it during the drill, but... just in case I need it afterward."

Carina nodded, offering a reassuring smile. "No problem, Jane. Do your best, and I'm here if you need me."

The drill began, and Jane moved quickly through the course, dodging obstacles and pushing her physical limits. The dummy was heavier than she had imagined, and every step seemed to demand immense effort. Andrea, watching from the sidelines, cheered her on, urging her not to give up.

When she finally reached the end of the course, Jane collapsed to the ground, her chest rising and falling rapidly. She felt a slight dizziness and pressure in her chest familiar signs of an impending asthma attack.

Carina was at her side immediately. She took out the inhaler and handed it to Jane, helping her use it. "Breathe slowly," she said, her voice calm and steady.

After a few moments, Jane began to feel better. She looked at Carina with gratitude. "Thank you... I don't know what I would've done without you."

Carina smiled. "That's why I'm here. You did an incredible job, Jane. Pushing yourself to the limit is part of the training, but always remember to listen to your body."
