I hadn't realized how real it was until I pushed open the doors of the BAU.
The BAU is the Behavioral Analysis Unit, they study human behavior, body language. They study mostly serial killers, sometimes they do abductions, both children and adults; they mostly deal with murders that have more than one body, unless it's similar to previous serial killer, the same MO; an MO (modus operandi) is a particular way of doing something, especially one that is characteristics or well established. For example, if one abducts women and they use a drug, hm let's say ketamine, and they slit their throats, dump them in an alley, if their body is placed a certain way, as in- they cross their arms over their chests, all those things that they do, make them who they are. How they kill.
My thoughts were cut off by some walking up to me.
"You must be Sarah, correct?" A man with black hair and brown eyes, frown lines covering his face.
"You must be Aaron, right?" I ask, pushing my satchel to the side and shake his hand.
"Call me Hotch." He turns around and starts to walk the other direction.
I follow behind him. He comes up in front of a desk in the bullpen. "This is where you will set up your things; where you work."
I set my overnight bag on it, just in case we have to go out of state on a case. He starts to walk to a conference room, where 5 other people sit.
"This is our new Agent Sa-"
"It's Doctor." I cut him off. "Sorry."
"Doctor Sarah Heath, she's going to get working with us for now on." Agent Hotchner says.
"Nice to meet you Sarah, I'm Penelope Garcia, you can call me Garcia, or PG" a woman with bright purple lipstick, an outfit that matches completely smiles brightly. She's a happy go lucky person, she seems fun. Instead of shaking my hand she gives me a big hug. "I'm the technical analyst, I give them their info."
"I'm Jennifer Jareau, but you can call me JJ, I'm the Liaison." A girl with blonde hair and blue eyes, she's really pretty, I wouldn't expect her to be on this job. She's seems really nice. I smile and shake her hand.
"I'm Derek Morgan, just call me Morgan, I'm the one who kick down doors, the muscle." He smiles and give me a firm handshake. He has light brown skin, pretty brown eyes, and is intensely muscled. I'd hate to make him mad, and Hotch also.
"I'm David Rossi, you call me Rossi, I give the old wise tales for the job." He flashes me a smile before giving my hand a shake.
"I've read your books." I nod my head, smiling.
"She's got a good taste in books, I see." He nudges Garcia. I chuckle.
"I'm Emily Prentiss, just call me by either of my names, I just know how to shoot a gun." A girl with black hair and brown eyes who smiles and give my hand a reassuring shake. She seems like someone I could talk too.
My eyes lay upon him and I knew this was the guy who I could really relate too. "I'm Doctor Spencer Reid, they call me Reid, I'm the brains, or one of the brains, we all have brains, I'm just one of them, I'm not all, I can't be in everyon- I'm rambling aren't I?"
"You are." I chuckle as he slips his hand into mine and give is a soft squeeze. He has medium length brown hair, brown eyes, a small smile, he has bags underneath his eyes, indicating loss in sleep. I can relate to that, sleeping is something the last thing I can do.
"Have a seat." Hotch says and motions towards a cahir, I take my satchel off and set it beside me on the floor. Garcia passes out tablets to everyone and hands Reid a file, she puts one in front of me.
