Reid and I couldn't catch the rest of that so called date we planned because I came down with something. I don't know what the hell it is but it's horrible. Coughing, nausea, fever, stuffy nose, stomach ache, headaches, itchy, hoarse throat. I don't know where or how I got this but just ugh. I'm just always tired and sick.
Reid volunteered to take care of me. I turned him down but that didn't stop him from showing up at my apartment with tea and medicine. I opened the door wider, allowing him in and went back to the couch, where tissues and blankets lay stacked on each other. I had stacks of pillows on the couch, which was pretty big. Big enough to fit two people if you get what I'm saying. He cooked me a dinner, chicken soup and nasty cough medicine.
"Seriously Reid you didn't need to do this." I coughed as he handed me the bowl of soup.
"I wanted too." He sat down beside me. I finished fairly quickly. I set the bowl on the table and set my head on his shoulder as a movie flashed on the tv. He starts rambling about some Russian movie. I didn't really know what he was saying but I just liked listening to his voice.
A couple hours later I was half asleep, curled up in Reid's side, having no idea of what we're watching. Apparently, the cough medicine makes me really drowsy and sleepy.
"Can you stay with me tonight?" I ask, tiredly.
"Sure yeah." He says and helps me to my bed. At first, we lay apart but I turn over and cuddle into him. He freezes for a second before he wraps his arms around me and pulls me closer. We're silent at first before I break the silence.
"Sometimes, when we're on a case and you and I have the same exact thought at the same time I could just...kiss you." I giggle tiredly.
"Me too." He says and I laugh tiredly before starting to drift. "I would kiss you right now if you weren't sick."
"I'll hold you too that." I chuckle before my thoughts go blank and I lose consciousness and fall asleep.
I wake up the next morning in Reid's arms. I smile before snuggling closer. I hear a soft chuckle and look up at him. I smile tiredly. He moves a piece of hair from my face and keeps his hand there.
"How ya feeling?" He asks.
"Better." I smile.
He opens his mouth to say something but is cut off by our phones going off simultaneously. We groan and I drop my forehead on his chest.
"We should get going." He frowns.
"Okay, who's showering first?" I ask.
"You go and I'll make some coffee." He says and I smile and get up, getting out of bed and go into the bathroom.
I take a quick shower and get dressed in a beige sweater with black heart on it and some jeans and boots. I let my hair dry into their natural wavy self before pulling the top into a ponytail. I go back out and sit on the counter in the kitchen. Reid hands me a cup of coffee and I take a sip. Mhm. Just how I like it. He smiles before downing some of his and going to the bathroom. I hear the shower turn on and I sit on the couch, texting Penelope back. I hear a knock on the door and furrow my eyebrows. I never get visitors. I look through the peephole and see JJ outside. I open the door and smile at her.
"Hey." I smile.
"Hey." She smiles back.
We stand there in silence for a second.
"Is there something you need?" I ask, trying to be as polite as I can.
"Just wondering how you're feeling." She says, obviously lying.
