Beside the door was a large bloody hand print.

2 weeks later

I ran from my car, up the stairs and into my apartment, locking the door behind me. I pressed my back against the door, taking a deep breath.

It's been so much worse since that note was left. I was scared for my life. Knowing how to fight and having a gun, it didn't apply in this case. This stalker was physiological. He got inside my head and scared the living shit out of me.

Spencer took a leave off of work to go see his mother. I wasn't exactly allowed to go because Reid and I aren't together and if I did go, that would set off red flags for Section Chief Cruz.

So, I was alone.

Let's just say, sleep didn't come easily.

I convinced Reid that I was okay and he didn't need to come home after the trouble sleeping. I'd stay awake, sitting on the couch, my eyes locked on the door.

Work was even worse. Everyone was convinced that Reid and I's breakup was finally getting to me. And that was what I was going to let them continue to believe.

Garcia was staying at the FBI Headquarters after being the head of the Dirty Dozen and now being their new hit.

We were waiting for a break in case, but after a couple months, it trailed off and we just continued with cases.

But finally, after a few months, we had a break. Morgan called Reid, telling him to come home.

It had been 9 days since I had since Reid last and I was excited to see him.

I was picking him up from the airport. I stood outside the gates, leaning against a wall. He flight was 10 minutes late but when he walked through the gates, I felt my heart drop.

I broke into a run, running until my body slammed into his, my arms wrapped tightly around his neck. He dropped his bag, hugging me back with a chuckle. I felt safe when his arms were wrapped around me, something I hadn't felt in the 9 days he'd been gone.

A choked sob came from my throat as I dug my face into his neck.

He pulled back, looking at me. "What's wrong?"

You shook your head, sniffling. "Nothing, I'm just-just really glad you're back."

He smiled softly, picking him bag back up. "Me too."

We met everyone in the conference room, Morgan giving Reid a tight hug.

Hotch explained to everyone that they infiltrated the Dirty Dozen and there were only 4 left.

"There's the Sniper, the Chemist, the Hacker, and the one with the highest body count of all," Garcia said, pressing a button on her remote. "Her."

She was known as Miss .45

Her M.O. was offering to hit husband's wives but then taking their money and killing them.

"The chemist and the sniper both performed jobs that involved families." Garcia said.

"Theoretically, if the price is high enough, a hit man shouldn't have morals," I said. "I think these kills are personal to her."

"Personal enough to risk double crossing her contract," Reid said. "Maybe something similar happened to her."

"And that's how we get her to come to the table." I finish.

"I pretend to be that kind of client." Reid says and I start to shake my head.

"How do we know that's gonna work?"

"We don't. It's a calculated risk based on her M.O. Which is categorically different than the men. They're cold, clinical, long-distance. She's up close and personal. She knows that she has to be more careful because she actually wants to kill her targets. I'm going to pretend to be a husband who wants his pregnant wife dead."

"Well, I'd want to kill you if you told me that." I said.

"Exactly." Reid said.

"Then all we have to do is set the right meeting spot." Morgan said.

"A bar or restaurant we control so the odds are better of us taking her alive," I said. "That's our best strategy."

Over the next couple months, the stalking got worse, but Reid talked with Miss .45 and gained an upper hand on meeting with her.

It finally came the day that they were meeting and everyone was getting dressed up for undercover.

Morgan and I were going on a "date," JJ was going to having a drink at the bar, and Rossi was getting a late night meal at the restaurant.

Morgan and I both got all dressed up. I wore a tight red dress with black heels, my hair was wavy and I had red lipstick and a golden arm bangle on.

We all stood in the bullpen, looking at each other.

"You guys have got this." Garcia said, giving everyone a hug.

Hotch was staying behind with Garcia. Everyone went outside, getting ready to go, but I stayed behind with Reid.

I reached over, taking his hand. I leaned up, pressing my lips against his softly. I know it was risky kissing him in the middle of the bullpen, but I didn't care. Something could go so wrong tonight.

I wiped the lipstick from his lips before faking a smile. "You're gonna do great."

Everyone got to the restaurant before Reid did, to look like we weren't watching them. My hair covered my earpiece. Morgan opened the car door for me, helping me out the car before going inside.

"You think she's watching?" Morgan asked with a smile.

"Of course she is."

We got a booth inside, sipping on a "martini."

Reid comes in, sitting down at the booth. He was visibly nervous, which worked as his advantage.

Cat finally comes in, going over to Reid's table. She goes in for a hug but he pulls back, mumbling something to so.

I smirk softly as I take a sip of the water dressed as a martini.

He only hugs me anymore.

"If she sticks to her pattern, she'll take him to a secondary location and kill him." I said to Morgan.

They talk for a while before he takes off his wedding ring and gives it to her. She looks at it for a bit, mumbling something on.

I listen through the earpiece, furrowing my eyebrows.

"This ring should be dinged and nicked. But the sucker is brand-new. You're not married." She says as a click comes from underneath the table.

I start to move but Hotch says "everybody hold."

"Why are we here, Spencer?" She asks, holding a gun underneath the table as I grit my teeth.
