I wanted to be like Emily or JJ.
I wanted to have muscle.
I wanted to fight back at the people we come face to face with.
I didn't want to be trapped with an Unsub, while he beat me to a pulp and I just sat there and took it.
No. I won't have it anymore.
Every Thursday I get up at 4 in the morning and sneak away to self defense classes.
I just get so angry and sometimes I take it out on Spencer. I can't do that anymore, it's going to tear us apart.
I felt the vibration of my phone underneath my pillow. I got up quietly and tip-toed to my bathroom. I get dressed in a pair of yoga pants and a sports bra with a loose black tank top over it and slip on my bright blue running shoes. I put my hair in a ponytail and grab my bag before sneaking out the door.
4 hours, four hours I had everyday to push myself building muscle and gain strength.
Statistically, people with a higher intelligence don't tend to be strongly fit.
Statistically, I going to beat those odds.
I drove to the gym where I met my physical trainer name Logan.
"Hey Sarah, you ready?" He asks.
"What're we doing today?" I smiled, stretching out my arms.
"Running, and then I'm going to teach you how to fight." He smiles.
"Sounds good." I say as I follow him out to my car where he drove out to a wooded area. I've only known this guy a few weeks. I've got to admit, I was uncomfortable.
He parked and I got out and he started jogging. I just followed. We get almost a mile out before he speaks up.
"So, what is you do?" He asks.
"I uh I work for the FBI." I say.
"Really? You don't look like someone who would work for the FBI."
"I know. I work for the BAU, the Behavioral Analysis Unit. I'm a profiler."
"Oh, you guys track serial killers right?"
"Basically."
"Sounds cool."
I nod and follow him into the woods deeper and deeper. We got about 4 miles out from the car when my phone rings.
"Hold up hold up." I yell to Logan. He stops as pull out my phone.
"Hello?"
"Hey Sarah, we got a case." Morgan says.
"Alright...be there soon." I said in between breaths.
"You okay? You sound out of breath."
"No..no I'll be there soon." I said and hung up.
"Everything good?" Logan asked.
"Yeah, just a new case." He handed me a bottle of water. I smiled as I chugged it.
"Race you back." He says.
I run after him as we get closer and closer to the car.
Half an hour later, I'm walking through the does of the BAU for the hundredth time this year. I stand in the door where everyone else it waiting.
