Not sure if this is much of a Headcanons but I've been going back and watching the show again starting at the beginning and ngl I didn't remember everything as well as I did. But while watching it I found that Zane was greatly autism/ADHD coded, which I think explains why me and my sister related with him so much.

We were young when it came out and seeing a character who reacted to jokes the way we did, have the same type of train of thought. I hadn't realized when I was little why it was exactly I related to him so much, especially with the whole "Zane is weird" and I didn't want to be weird. But then the ninja all accept him as he is and he's no longer "Zane is weird" he's just Zane. And I had found comfort and confidence in that.

Now that I'm grown and going back and watching it I'm not sure how the creators intended for Zane to be interpreted but I know that the way his character was depicted was a great positive for lil me. And seeing feeling that first hand I think it's great for young kids to have someone they relate to. Someone who that isn't labeled "weird" or "different" or "not normal" someone who is accepted for being themselves even if not everyone relates.

Which I guess overall If I was making a Headcanon I'd argue that Zane is autistic/ADHD coded and that it's not just him being a nindroid it's just Zane and that's who he is.

Just a thought that was running through my head and was curious if others had similar experiences towards Zane when watching the show.
