Chapter 9 – Nightmare
“I must go now my lady, before I am missed.” Eldred said to Morgana and she nodded. “Eldred, try not enjoy yourself too much.” Morgana said.
“For course, after all, I want to save myself for you.” He whispered bending to kiss her hand but she slapped him in the face. “Remember your place! I am not one of those girls who throw themselves at your feet! You set your expectations to high Eldred.” Morgana said and he backed away.
“Of course my lady, you have my apologies.”
“Good, now go! Before your wife suspects you!” Morgana said and Eirawen turned and fled not wanting to look back.Eirawen hurried to her room, her heart pounding, tears threatening her eyes. Why? Why would he do it? She knew he would be coming, she knew he planned to silence her. When she got back to her chambers she found Lila stood by a warm bath. “M’lady?” She asked.
“That will be all Lila thank you.” Eirawen said not even bothering to reminder her to call her Eirawen. Lila simply nodded and left the room. Eirawen hurried behind the screen, fumbling with her dress; she needed to act normal so he wouldn’t know she had seen him. When she finally got it off she slipped out from behind the screen and into the warm water, she let it slip over her body sending warmth through her. Suddenly she heard the door open and she frozen. “Eirawen darling?” Eldred called and she shivered as she heard his footsteps approach. He rounded the corner and she shrunk deeper under the water trying to conceal herself. He smiled and walked around behind her. “Eirawen darling.” He said bending down and slipping his hands onto her shoulders and for a moment she was afraid he would drown her. “How are you?” He asked as his hands began to make their way down her front and she was certain he could feel her rapid heartbeat. “I am fine my lord.”
“Eldred please, we are married.” He whispered and she felt a shudder run through her. “And aren’t I lucky to have such a beautiful wife.” He said his hands running over her. Eirawen was terrified, what was he going to do to her? “But there is one small problem; a wife is to obey her husband is she not?” He said his hands becoming more firm. “Yes Eldred.” She whispered.
“A wife is not to question her husband; she is to stay loyal to him is she not?” He asked his hands pressing down hard on her. “Yes Eldred.” She whispered as she felt tears approaching. “Get up.” He whispered softly but Eirawen didn’t move. “I said get up!” He yelled and suddenly he grabbed her hair and pulled her to her feet. Eirawen began to sob as she was dragged from the bath tub. “Another thing a wife is to do is to give herself to her husband, give herself completely.” He whispered harshly an evil grin spreading across his lips. “But you have done none of these have you Eirawen?” He said pinning her to the wall. “Have you Eirawen?!” He yelled at her and she whimpered. “No Eldred.” She whispered.
“No Eldred” He mimicked her. “Well, maybe it is time you started.” He said a glint in his eye and he pushed her onto the bed. Eirawen curled up, shaking with fear, her arms wrapped around her naked body as Eldred began to remove his clothes. “I have waited for this for so long.” He said slipping onto the bed beside her, “Its torture you know, to have a girl so beautiful but not be able to touch her, but now at last, you will be mine.” He said descending on her.Leon, Percival and Elyan found Gwaine sat in the corner of the tavern with a tankard of mead in his hand. “Why the long face?” Percival asked as he sat down next to Gwaine. “We have seen Eirawen, you saved her I presume.” Leon said taking a seat on the other side of him. Gwaine simply nodded and put the cup back to his lips. “So what up then?” Leon asked.
“Nothing.” Gwaine said into his tankard.
“Gwaine, come on!” Elyan said.
“There is nothing wrong ok!” Gwaine grumbled. “What would make you think that?!”
“Umm well your bad mood.” Elyan said.
“That fact your face is longer than a horses.” Percival said.
“And that that barmaid is trying to make a pass at you but for once you are completely ignoring her.” Leon said. “Come on Gwaine, please.”
“I am fine ok! Just leave me alone!” Gwaine yelled before pushing roughly past them and stumbling out into the night. She could feel him on her, in her, her body shaking, sobs breaking from her lips as well as groans. If she tried to resist he just pushed harder, she wanted to scream, she wanted to scream so badly but she couldn’t, her throat seemed to have closed up meaning making loud sounds was impossible. “Please, please.” She whispered as she lay there; completely helpless as he explored her body. “Oh Eirawen, you are, oh, your body, perfection.” He whispered, “I have seen a lot but you are something else.” He gasped making her feel sick. The worst part is, her body seemed to be enjoying it; her mind was in a nightmare while her body was in a dream. She hated the way it reacted to his touch, his movements. There was a battle, mind against body, and her body seemed to be winning. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she felt him withdraw himself. He ran his hands over her one more time, his lips along her collarbone and then over her chest, before he finally pulled himself off her and began to re-dress. Once he was dressed he lent back over her body, his hair tickling her face as he whispered in her ear, “If you breathe a word about this, or about anything then you know what Morgana will do, he will pay with his life and Morgana has promised I can have you to do as I please.” He growled before straightening up and leaving the room.
Eirawen curled up on the bed, her body aching and shaking with sobs. She couldn’t get her head around it; she couldn’t see a way out. Slowly she slipped under the sheets and lay there, sobbing, trying to wake herself from the terrible nightmare.
