Being with Ronin may not have been the easiest choice, but it felt right. As I pondered over Mia's words and William's influence, doubts crept into my mind. Was Mia really telling the truth? Did William hold that much power over them?

"Now we may feast," Mr. Green said proudly as trays of lasagna were distributed to us.

It wasn't as good as my mom's, but it was still lasagna. The dining hall consisted of several tables, which separated everyone into their groups. Victor and his Brainiacs, William and his entourage including Elliott, and then us, a group of misfits, each bringing a different flavor to the mix.

"So how's your room, Evelyn? You've barely told us anything!" James spat, his face plastered with lasagna, almost making me lose my appetite.

"They're alright. I don't really talk to them at all," she answered, sipping on her juice box.

"No, no, give me names. I wanna know who you're dealing with," James demanded.

"The only one I actually know is Isabella. The rest are seniors. All she's been doing since the aquarium was balling her eyes out," Evelyn answered as the table got quiet. "Shit, I'm sorry, Liam," she apologized.

"It's fine. I've been long over her anyways," I let out a light chuckle to defuse the situation.

Was Mia really telling the truth? Did she really hit on me because William demanded her to? What power does he hold over them?

"Hmm, I'll go get seconds," I excused myself, looking for some fresh air, yet the lasagna looked tempting, and I couldn't help myself. I stood in line as he passed by.

"Hey, since this is our last time here, why don't you be a nice guy and fork up your place," William spat, wearing that smirk of his, as he pushed a guy out of the way.

"How's this guy the head boy?" I thought to myself, shaking my head in disbelief.

His eyes wavered towards me, a smile encroaching onto his face. "Liam, o'l pal, mind if you give me a spot here?" William wrapped his arm around me.

"Nah, I'll pass. I'm pretty hungry myself," I said nonchalantly as William's eyes twitched.

I felt his fingertips dig into my shoulder. "Don't worry, I'll just forget whatever happened at the aquarium," he whispered.

His words sent shivers down my spine, but I wasn't nervous at all.

"Expose us, I fucking dare you. I don't care who finds out," I grabbed hold of his collar, grinning. "I won't break up with Ronin just to please you," I said in a stern voice.

"What are you talking about?" William said, out of breath, his eyebrows twitching. Just as I turned my head, I saw Ronin slowly making his way toward us. William noticed too as he began hyperventilating. "You don't know what you're doing, Liam," he grabbed my arm.

Just before Ronin could reach us, Mr. Green called out. "Ronin Fernandez, the principal wants to talk to you in private." Ronin walked into the room he was ordered to, giving one final glance back at me. All I could do is give him a smile. "What's going on?" I thought aloud.

The tension immediately dispersed as I whipped my hand away from William and sat down at the table.

"What could Mr. Hot Shit have done?" James wondered aloud.

"Hmm, it's probably nothing to worry about," Evelyn dismissed.

"I hope that's the case. I mean, Ronin wouldn't hurt a fly," I murmured. I couldn't escape this worrying feeling. I laid my head on the table, noticing William sweating profusely. "Don't tell me he's behind this. Is this fucker really that obsessed with me? No way."

"Hey bro, are you okay? You look ill," Elliott asked in a concerned tone.

"Yeah, I'm completely fine," William said out of breath. "I just need some air," he chuckled nervously.

As time went on, almost everyone left the dining hall. What's taking so long? Every waking minute pumped my anxiety. Even with my friends around, it didn't help at all. It was eventually just me and my friends left in the room when Mr. Green came up to us.

"Guys, it's getting late. You should go to your room," he demanded in his deep voice.

"Why did they call Ronin?" I demanded to know.

"Liam, I'm not allowed to disclose such information," Mr. Green murmured.

"I'm his boyfriend. I fucking deserve to know," I raised my voice, startling Mr. Green.

"Hey, relax, Liam. It's going to be fine," James advised as Evelyn gripped his shoulder.

"Leave him," she whispered.

"Fine," Mr. Green took a relaxed posture as he sat down at the table. "You guys can't expose this," he gulped. "The one who's been sending these videos around is Ronin."

The revelation hit me like a ton of bricks. It couldn't be Ronin. It must be William. At first, I thought Ronin was the enemy of my heart, but it was William all along. Everything suddenly made sense—the videos, the threats, the tension. Ronin wouldn't do something like this.

""That's complete bullshit! Ronin would never stoop that low," James shouted, his voice echoing in the tense atmosphere of the room.

"Hush down," Mr. Green scolded, his brows furrowed with concern. "It's definitely uncharacteristic for Ronin."

Evelyn placed a gentle hand on my back, offering silent support. "How are you feeling, Liam?" she asked softly.

"I don't know what to feel," I admitted, my emotions swirling in a turbulent mix of anger, confusion, and fear. "But I know one thing for sure: William is behind all of this!" I declared, determination flashing in my eyes as I rose from my seat, my gaze fixed on the room where Ronin was being questioned.

"Liam, you can't just barge in there, and you can't make such accusations against the headboy!" Mr. Green's voice was stern, but there was an undercurrent of worry in his tone.

But I was already on my feet, fueled by a fierce determination to defend Ronin and expose the truth. "Nothing will stop me now," I muttered to myself as I strode towards the room where Ronin was being interrogated.

As I pushed open the door, my heart pounded in my chest, and I was met with the sight of Ronin sitting on a stool, his expression a mixture of surprise and relief at seeing me.

"Liam, what are you doing here?" the principal's voice boomed, his tone a mixture of surprise and annoyance.

"It's not Ronin; it's William, the headboy," I declared, my voice ringing out loudly in the room. "He's been scheming to make my life a living hell. He's threatened every girl with a video," I shouted, my words filled with conviction as I refused to back down.

Depsite my revelation Ronin wore a dead expression. As the principle shook her head in disappointment.

"Liam I always thought you'd make a great headboy but this?". "The videos came from Ronin's phone.

Despite my revelation, Ronin's expression remained impassive, his eyes betraying no hint of emotion. As the principal shook her head in disappointment, a heavy silence descended upon the room.

"Liam, I always thought you'd make a great headboy, but this?" the principal's voice was laced with disappointment and disbelief. "The videos came from Ronin's phone."

The words hit me like a physical blow, and for a moment, I was rendered speechless. All the certainty I had felt, all the conviction in my accusations against William, crumbled in an instant. Ronin, my partner, my confidant, did he betray me?.
