We all boarded the bus on way our way to stonepine city, the complex we were staying at was on the outskirts of the city.

I sat next to Evelyn as James and Elliott prompted to sit infornt of us. I held a seat open for Ronin yet he walked passed me, sitting with William. My heart ached, what was I thinking why didn't I just tell Isabella I didn't mean any of what I said. Fortunately she decided to sit with her friends still making flirtatious gestures whenever I turned my head.

We arrived at our stop for the day. The ocean gate aqauruim. Totally not named after a popular submarine that sank.

"Remember to group up with someone, we'll be meeting at the entrance in 2 hours!" Mr. Green yelled out, but it seemed like none of us paid attention as we entered the aquarium. I tried reaching out to Ronin, but he quickly maneuvered his way to William's group. My kryptonite.

"Hey, mind if me and Elliott go ahead?" James asked, wearing a warm smile.

"Yeah, sure, just don't get knocked up," Evelyn teased.

"I promise to bring him back safely, miss," Elliott said, holding James from behind as they shared a chuckle.

It was just Evelyn and me as we strolled through the aquarium. In the longest section, there were even tanks above us. We finally reached a bench and sat down, taking a rest after the long walk. A dolphin display was in front of us. Despite being intrigued by the exhibit, Ronin haunted my thoughts. Evelyn noticed, firmly grabbing my hand.

"Why are you still with boring old me? Where's Ronin?" she asked softly.

I took a deep breath. "Ronin is mad at me, and it's all my fault."

"Tell me about it," she said in a soft tone, bringing some comfort.

"Isabella has been all over me since the start of the trip. I really thought our breakup was the end of it all. Ronin got a bit jealous on the bus because she kissed my cheek." I gently flicked my forehead, scolding myself. "I mean, I should've stopped her. I should've stopped her all this time."

"You're making this harder than it should be. Just tell her your true feelings," she advised.

"I want to, really. But I'm scared that she'll suspect me and Ronin," I sighed.

"Liam, are you willing to throw away your relationship just because of that?" Evelyn questioned. "Just be real with her. Honestly, I doubt she expects you and Ronin to be a thing in the first place."

"No," I uttered, clenching my fist atop the bench. The solution to all of this was so simple all this time, yet my thoughts made it harder than it needed to be.

"Then do something about it," Evelyn slapped me on the back, wearing an encouraging smirk.

"I will," I said, standing up from the bench. Right after leaving it, I thought to myself, "What exactly am I going to do?"

As I turned the corner, I spotted him, watching over a tank of stingrays frolicking in the water. He looked like a deity, wearing a tight black shirt and pants that exposed his muscles and thighs, from his chiseled cheeks to his defined jawline, even his piercing eyes staring into the water. It was like falling in love all over again, and to think my stupidity could ruin this.

"This is the best time to clear everything up," I thought, gently straightening my black hair as I approached him.

"Ron-" I called out, but I was cut off as Isabella appeared in front of me. She immediately sprung onto me, pressing her features into my face.

"There you are, I was looking for you, babe cakes," she giggled. It was too late. Ronin saw us, his face turning from disappointment to disgust. I couldn't blame him.

Gathering my courage, I pushed Isabella off me. "What are you doing?" I asked in a cold tone. She was taken aback.

"Can't I hug my boyfriend?" she squeaked, trying to muse my comfort.

"You know what you're doing. You knew I was drunk when I said all of that," I let it all out, not caring about any consequences.

"Liam, you're hurting me," she trembled, trying to clutch onto the fabric of my shirt.

"We broke up for a reason. You cheated on me with my fucking cousin, and you expect me to act like nothing happened?" I yelled out, garnering the attention of nearby classmates and, most importantly, Ronin.

"But, but you can't do this, Liam. We're perfect together," she pleaded, her dramatic ass dropping on the floor, as Evelyn, James, and Elliott arrived at the scene, just as confused as everyone else, yet Evelyn wore a smirk.

"Don't 'but' me. Call your psycho brother like last time. Next time, I'll give him the scar he gave me," I pulled up my shirt, revealing a knife scar right under my belly button.

"You know I had absolutely nothing to do with that, but that doesn't matter," she insisted, her voice shaky. "But you love me, don't you?"

"I... I don't love you at all, because... Because I like someone else that isn't you. I like him," my voice echoed, silencing the crowd.

Ronin's eyes couldn't leave me. He stood there, filled with awe. Our eyes met as he gave me a small smirk.

Curiously, in the corner, I saw William. His face was swollen red, like he was about to bust a vein.

Isabella wore a blank expression, showing no remorse. I noticed Ronin gesturing for me to follow him, so we turned the corner, leading us to a seemingly empty part of the aquarium with no water tanks, just a gray wall. Ronin slowly backed into a room, and instinctively, I knew to follow him. I glanced up at the door sign, which read "Employees Only," and a sly grin tugged at my lips.

Meanwhile, as soon as most of the onlookers disappeared, William took action. He barged into Isabella's group of friends who were trying to comfort her. Isabella's face lit up upon seeing William. He slowly bent down, wrapping his arms around her and bringing his head to her ear. "We're done for. You couldn't even complete a simple task. No point having you around," he whispered with that smirk of his. As if Isabella hadn't been in enough shock already, she became shaky as her friends chased William away, questioning her on what he said, yet she stayed silent.
