Friends? Or lovers?

Pt.25 time blurs

After everything that happened with Jake you start to get better

Mostly Phillips and Benny were babying you saying not to get out of bed to rest eat blah blah blah

After about a week you are allowed to go outside and you are really excited to see Benny

You hadn't officially been deemed a 'couple' but you basically were just not infront of people yet

at eight in the morning you get up get dressed in some shorts tank top and your red converse

You grab your bat and glove even though you know you won't play you still bring them then you go downstairs and open your front door to leave

As I open the door tho I see the most annoying disgusting thing to walk the earth

Jake

"What the fuck do you want Jake? Because I want nothing to do with you so please leave and go die in a filthy ugly dirty hole where you belong!" I snap at him

"Y/n please listen to me!" He pleads

"No Jake you lost your chance when you fucking beat me I'm not going to fall for your manipulation!!" I shove my way past him grabbing my bike and I start riding off

I ride until I get to the sandlot, I felt a little dizzy when I got off my bike but I thought i would be fine

I walk over to the dug out placing my bike beside it and wait for the guys

They all show up laughing and joking with eachother

I see Kacy and she runs to me u get up opening my arms as she runs into me Hugging me tight

"Hey pooks" I smile as she pulls away from the hug

"Hey so you feeling good?" She asks as we sit down

Before I can answer all the boys are standing in-front of us all talking asking questions

"What happened to your eye"

"Yeah yeah and where were you?"

"Are you good we thought you died or something"

"Are you going to play?"

"Guys! Guys why don't you let her talk" I see Benny emerge from the group

"Uh yeah I'm fine I got into a fight so that's why I got the black eye and i just wasn't feeling the heat lately so I decided not to come out and no I won't be playing" I answer all there questions

After we all talk for a minute they get into their positions and start playing

Benny was first to bat
Ham was catcher
Kenny Pitcher
Squints first
Yeah yeah second
Bertram third
Timmy home
And then the rest scattered throughout out field

But smalls was sitting on the bench with me

"Smalls why aren't you playing?" I continue looking at the game

"I don't know I guess" he stops

Kenny pitches the ball and Benny hits it almost over the fence but it barely lands in front

I do a little cheer then focus back on smalls

"Guess what?" I look at him

"I guess I want to know what actually happened for the week you were gone" he stares

"U-u-u-h-hhh I didn't feel like playing like I said" I avoided eye contact like I depended on it

"Y/n I was there I know it wasnt just a fight I just don't know the specifics but I have my guesses"

"Yeah like what" I ask sarcastically

"Jake beat you and you ran back into the carnival so he couldn't find you Benny found you then brought you back to his probably because he or you didn't want to deal with Phillips then you stayed over sleeping with Benny cause you didn't feel safe then told your family everything finally and you were getting better for the past week most likely not allowed to go outside from how pale you are" he says fast

"Did I get anythig wrong?" He asks with a slight smirk at my widen eyes

"Smalls if you tell anyone else I will personally kill you in your sleep" he nods slowly

It's silent for a little while as we both watch the game until smalls breaks the silence

"What is going to happen to Jake?"

I almost wince at his name

"We filed a police report for assault we will have to go to court" I stare at Benny running bases

"Also I am pretty sure you and Benny have started dating" smalls blurts out

"What the fuck smalls!?" I give him a look that's says huh?

"Well for your information not that it's any of you business anyways but we aren't exactly dating" I say a little quietly

"Ok sureeeeee" he chuckles and I chuckle with him

"So what happened between you two?" He has a cheeky smile plastered over his face

"We kissed that's about it" I sit crisscrossed apple sauce and played with my shoe laces

"We should have a camp out then" smalls still had that cheeky smile

"Why?" I give him a confused expression

"For you and Benny duhhh!" We both laugh

"Oh I already have a plan for that" I smile proudly

"What is it?" He had a gleam in his eyes saying tell me tell me tell me

"Well my parents are going to leave for some adult trio or something for three days and our neighbours are just going to check in every now and then sooooo we will basically have the house to myself and Phillips"

"And Phillips is going to try and stay as far away from the house which means it will be me and a whole lotta empty house so I'll invite Benny over and probably you all so it's not as suspicious" I smiled

"Good plan" is all smalls responds with before we continue to watch the guys

After a few hours the sun starts to set so we all decide to leave

I get to my street and start leaving, so the only ones who were left was Benny and smalls because kacy left early due to the heat

As I walk I hear "Benny I need to talk about something important"

I don't pay much attention and just continue walking

I get to my house wipe my shoes on the mat then go inside

I'm met with my brother and my dad making dinner in the kitchen

I go to my room and change into some pj shorts and a t-shirt then go back downstairs to eat dinner

Dinner was relatively quiet and after I wash everyone's dishes then go to my room and finish the night with some good old movies
